Guest guest
Mr. Subramaniam, This mail is neither to encourage nor discourage you. But it is a word of caution that before undertaking such upasanas, one should retrospect oneself whether one is fit enough to undertake such worships. By the way, what is your vision and goal of your upasana and why do you want to undertake such worships. Gone are the days of Ramakrishna Paramahamsas, Ram Prasads, Vamakshepas. You need to have strong guts to pursue such things now in graveyard. Here is the mode of worship if Kali in graveyard: " The Kali sadhana takes place on a Tuesday, at midnight, in the cremation ground. Here, surrounded by jackals, owls and other uncanny creatures of the night, the Sadhaka and his Shakti select a newly dead male corpse, which should be, according to the texts, of a young man preferably a king, a hero or a warrior. If he has recently died in battle, so much the better. Placing the corpse face downwards, the two draw the Kaliyantra on his back, offer each other food, wine and other good things, and then commence the act of ritual sex. At the close of intercourse, the man offers his Shakti one of her pubic hairs smeared with his semen and, if she is menstruating, blood. By doing such acts of worship, the sadhaka attains certain siddhis (I donot know what sort of siddhis they are!!!). While performing the worship, the corpse occasionally opens its mouth since devi is invoked. When the corpse opens its mouth, the sadhaka has to pour little amount of wine failing which it devours the sadhaka. If the sexual act is not done properly, the sadhaka turns mad and deranged along with sakti. So, I donot know what is in your mind and whether for academic interest you have asked or not. Better to concentrate on your career development and keep off from these horrible and dangerous sadhanas. Srinivas rao. , " NMadasamy " <ashwini_puralasamy wrote: > > Hi, > > I am from India. Guest guest
With due respect, the sadhana you listed from Maha Nirvana Tantra (specifically from the version translated by Sir John Woodroofe), is only one Shmashan Sadhana for Maa Kali. There are many others, which do not involve sex or the literal consumption of the 5 Ms. And I must strongly disagree with the notion that the days or Sri Ramakrsna or Sri Bamakhepa are gone. There are just few willing to strive for HER as They did. JAI AMMA! Surya

Guest guest
Srinivas Rao Your post has sarcastic overtone to it. If you want to have " darshan " of " such-a-person " why dont you strive yourself. regards Aditya On 5/14/08, srinivasrao197080 <srinivasrao197080 wrote: > > surya > > can you show me such persons. i would like to have their darshan. > > <%40>, > " Surya " <mahamuni wrote: > > > > With due respect, the sadhana you listed from Maha Nirvana Tantra > (specifically from the version translated by Sir John Woodroofe), is > only one Shmashan Sadhana for Maa Kali. Guest guest
Wow! I just joined this group yesterday and came upon this thread to pursue. I can't help but think that Ma herself has cast her Cosmic Veil of illusion upon all of us. A seemingly innocent question (the question itself is innane-as though the questioner was going to use instructions from this thread to commence his/her smashan sadhana- again another accomplishment notch for the ego) to manifest everyone's ignorance in Her own light to show how egos get in the way of true devotion to Her. Credentials abound, samskaras abound, judgements abound, and a lot of wounded egos abound especially amongst those who seek intellectualism and a cerebral approach to Ma instead of humbling ourselves like children before the Mother. A little knowledge from books that others who may have experienced her may seem like living it vicariously. Coming from great lineages may feel like those samskaras and karmas will get one far, however they don't abound to much if your own karmas don't have Divine Grace and Ma's love. I urge everyone to experience first hand for themselves what Her fierce love and power is like within yourselves. Darshans of other sadhakas or sadhus don't rub off on you until you can develop that tejas and awaken that fire within your own self. Why feel attached to such perceptions of self-aggrandizement or attach importance to things of no consequence to YOU in this very moment. YOU alone are Mother's devotee, nothing else matters. Learn from Her itself- Close your eyes, chant Her name, cry to Her and ask for Her with great longing. She will come to you or show Herself to you in many forms that you don't expect including her fierceness through cutting words from others. This is an opportunity for all of us to take a real look at our own selves and ask what is really important to all of us. I wish you all Peace, Love and Light and may the Mother Herself bestow Grace upon all of you. Guest guest
Dear Srinivas Rao, Yes I can. I can introduce you to several such Mahatmas. My AMMA is the foremost one I can think of. Mata Amritanandamayi. Go see HER at HER ashram in Amritapuri, Kerala or when SHE tours various parts of India, though those programs are very, very crowded with throngs of devotees seeking HER Darshan. www.amma.org Shree Maa of Kamakhya is another. She normally resides in the US now at the Devi Mandir. www.shreemaa.org I also know a few less known saints in various parts of India that would qualify. I'll let you know the next time I come back. JAI AMMA! JAI MAA! Surya
Guest guest
Dear RSN, lollll! I only came back to this forum after more than 6 months to see this thread first and couldn't help but think as I read down it, " oh dear...better to stop reading this thread " , until I came to your post. An important point is always worth repeating so.....I cut and paste the following from your post.... " .....I urge everyone to experience first hand for themselves what Her > fierce love and power is like within yourselves. Darshans of other > sadhakas or sadhus don't rub off on you until you can develop that > tejas and awaken that fire within your own self. " Very eloquently put. kind regards Her_asha
