You see srinivas rao, my mother once told me, only when you have become a mother, you will understand what motherhood is. To feel the life growing inside you and to feel the life force emerging from your body. And as a mother to my own child and mother to many other children who have come to seek shelter in my home, maybe its my right to say, I understand now what is MOTHERHOOD. Must you reaad the gospel of Ramakrishna to understand this term? To a mother all her children are good. All her children are perfect in her eyes. Yes! only now I understand the real meaning of Motherhood. Your needs are not important but what is good for your children. Whatever you do, its always the interest of your child. That is why she is also called vira as in one of the 1000 names of sri lalitha. Maybe you have misunderstook our statemnent. That is meant to be a joke. If you dont like it and feels its so offensive then its too bad. Nothing much we can do about. Perhaps you should have find otu first before making any statement. You are rather new in here, but we have been around for almost 7 yrs are you aware of it? In what context such statement uttered, did you bother to find out? Reading your messages I am reminded of the ancient malay proverbs which goes as follows : " Ikutlah resmi padi, semakin berisi semakin tunduk. " . Translated : Follow the way of the padi/rice field, as you mature or becoming knowledgeable, you bow low. I am immediately reminded of another chinese verse " the purpose of education was not merely the acquirement of knowledge or skills, however important that might be. The real purpose was the cultivation of virtues and the purification of personal character "
Guest guest
Namaste and Happy Mothers Day! How fortunate we are to have a Mother so loving, so constant and so fierce! She will defeat all of our enemies, most of which have gathered to challenge us from within. She will erase our misfortune, even as knowledge erases ignorance. She will provide us with every delightful thing of the senses and all of that which we fear also. That which I offer to Her I have already received from Her. In my offering is my acknowledgment of Her contributions to my life. May I take pleasure in this life She has given me and may I act in fairness and compassion for the rest of Her children. May I open up to Her and allow Her to slay any demons She finds that they no longer plague me. Then let me lose my fear and accept Her greatness and blessing. pr , " NMadasamy " <ashwini_puralasamy wrote: > > , " srinivasrao197080 " > <srinivasrao197080@> wrote: > > > > Christina, > > > > The essence of indian philosphy is to BE GOOD and DO GOOD.
