Yad etat kAlindI-tanu-tarangAkrti sive

krse madhya kimcij janani tava tad bhAti sudhiyAm

vimardAdanyo'nyam kuca-kalasayorantara-gatam

tanU-bhUtam vyoma pravisad iva nAbhim kuharinIm

O Spouse of Siva, Mother [mine!} this something, assuming the form of

the ripples of KAlindi on Thy slim waist, appears to the enlightened

[to be] the attenuated Ether intervening the two pot-like breasts,

entering the hole of Thy navel, owing to the pressing against each of

the two [breast].

Something p the RomAvalI. KAlindI- the daughter of Mount Kalinda, ie,

the YamunA whose water is represented to be of a dark colour. Ether -

is also represented as dark in colour. This stanza also describes the

RomAvali of the Devi. The Ether, when pressed, is represented as

seeking shelter in the navel.
