Plants, trees, or flowers sacred to Maa Durga

I am growing some sacred basil and I managed to get some seeds from a

Betel tree. (Let's hope it grows up here in Washington State.) I was

wondering what plants, trees, or flowers are sacred to Maa Durga.  I

have heard that Hibiscus is sacred to Maa Kali, and I have actually

tried to procure Kusha grass, but I can't find it.

Any other ideas for plants, trees, or flowers?

Shanti Om,

Shankari

If Kusha grass is vetivert, you can get it from

Richter's Herbs in Canada (sold out at the moment.)

About khus/vetivert:

http://www.richters.com/

I have ordered from Richter's in the past with no problems.

Another place to buy tropical stuff.

http://tropilab.com/

I haven't ordered from this place.

Some tropical seeds are notoriously difficult to start;

if they don't tell you how to start the seem, I would be

suspicious.

For other ideas, here's what I googled up; no warranty

on its accuracy:

And although I did google a source that said kusha grass

is vetivert, I'm beginning to think that's just a

confusion between somewhat similar names. I think

this is kusha grass:

(and not available)

However, it might be pleasant (although perhaps not

spiritually significant) to grow vetivert anyway.

Cardamom makes a nice houseplant too (scented leaves.)

Thanks. That was quite a bit of information. I'm still going through it. Kusha

grass is vetivert? Okay. That makes it easier.

[moderator's note:

Maybe not.

I think there is also a company called tradewindfruit. I got some seeds for Bael

fruit, but it takes 6 months to sprout.

Thanks a lot,

Shankari
