Guest guest
If it's possible, you might consider asking the person who gave you the mantras for his or her instructions with respect to japa. If you type " how to do japa " or a similar phrase into the google search box, you'll get lots of suggestions. Here are a few: http://www.shaktisadhana.org/Newhomepage/Frames/messageboard/Japa.html http://www.sivanandaonline.org/graphics/sadhana/meditation/japa.html http://www.shreemaa.org/drupal/?q=mantra_japa_and_malas_0 , " ARoach99 " <Aroach99 wrote: > > How does one go about saying jap > in that what are the best times to > say it what is the correct postion > to be facing should one be sitting > or standing what should one mediate about > > I was giving jap to say [....]
Guest guest
hi, the general things for jap are -do it in the morning take a shower and wear clean clothes sit on a rug in padmasana/ on a chair ,facing the east/ north keep the back straight say a mala at the least (108) preferably stick to the same time daily if u miss a day, start frm scratch at the end of 100,000 repetitions(varies wth different mantras), offer 5% in the fire thats all i can think of, in love and light, sarada

Guest guest
Some good books to read on this would be: " Japa yoga " by Sivananda, the " aghora " series by Svobodha, and " tantra:path of ecstacy " by feuerstein georg. , " univmama " <univmama wrote: > > hi, > > consult a priest. he will conduct a homa ( fire ceremony) in which u > can offer the mantras, > > in love and light, > sarada >
