Guest guest
JAI MAA, Sri Shani Trayodasi is celebrated on January 24th 2009 " Om Preeang Preeng Prong Sa Shange Namah " recite this mantra 21 times. Bhagwan Shani, also known as Shanaiscarya, Shani Bhagavan, Shaneesvara, Saneesvara, Shaneeshvaran or Shani Deva, is one of the navagrahas. Navagrahas are the nine primary celestial beings according to Sanatan Dharma. According to Sanatan Astrology, Bhagwan Shani represents the planet Saturn. Since Bhagwan Shani is a god and son of Sun and his wife Chhaya (Goddess of Shadow), he is also known as Chhayaputra (Son of Shadow Goddess). Shani Trayodasi is celebrated on the day of Trayodashi when it falls on Saturday. This year it is on January 24th 2009 especially being " Krishna Sani Trayodasi " , it is even more powerful. This is the first Sani Trayodasi after Saturn's entry into Cancer!! Sani Tryodasi comes twice in the one year. Offer `Tailabhishekam', a bath with til oil while chanting the shani gaytri or shani stotra. Offer Shani Dev black cloth and perform abhishek with black til, kum kum and turmeric powder. Depending on time one can recite 1- Sani Maharaj's Ashtottara Sata Namavali (108 names), 2- recite Shani Gayatri 108 time, recite 3- Shani Chalisa, Sani kavacham, Sani mantra (Ushnik) and 4- Sani stotram recited by Dasaratha in Valmiki Ramayana (11 times). Coconut and other fruits such as banana and mangoes are offered as `naivedya'. Some offer Rice with Sesame seeds, Jaggery and Sesame seed oil. You can also perform Navgrah Havan. Finish your pooja with Shani Aarti. Puranic Mantra: Neelaanjana Samaabhaasam Raviputram Yamaagrajam Chhaayaa Maartaanda Sambhootam Tam Namaami Shanayshcharam Vedic Mantra: Om Sham No Deveer Abhishtaya Aapo Bhavantu Peetaye Sham Yorabhi Sravantu Nah Shani Gayahri Sanaicharaya vidhmahe Chhaya putraya dheemahe Thanno mantha Prachodayath Sani Gayathri Kaaka Dhvajaaya Vidhmahe Khadga Hastaaya Dheemahi Thanno Mandah Prachodayath Navagraha Gayatris Surya gayatri om aswadhwajaaya vidmahae paasa hastaaya dheemahi tanno surya: prachodayaat Chandra gayatri om padmadhwajaaya vidmahae hema rupaaya dheemahi tanno soma: prachodayaat Angaaraka gayatri (chevvaai) om veeradhwajaaya vidmahae vighna hastaaya dheemahi tanno bhouma: prachodayaat Budha gayatri om gajadhwajaaya vidmahae sukha hastaaya dheemahi tanno budha: prachodayaat Guru gayatri om vrishabadhwajaaya vidmahae kruni hastaaya dheemahi tanno guru: prachodayaat Shukra gayatri om aswadhwajaaya vidmahae dhanur hastaaya dheemahi tanno shukra: prachodayaat Sanishwara gayatri om kaakadhwajaaya vidmahae khadga hastaaya dheemahi tanno mandah: prachodayaat Raahu gayatri om naakadhwajaaya vidmahae padma hastaaya dheemahi tanno raahu: prachodayaat Kethu gayatri om aswadhwajaaya vidmahae soola hastaaya dheemahi tanno ketu: prachodayaat You can also worship Lord Hanuman since Bhagwan Hanumanji freed Shani Dev from Ravan. So any on ewho worship Sri Hanuman will not have ill effects of Shani. I come across people who do not wish to pray to most beautiful Sri Bahgwan ; Bhagwan Hanumanji because he is brahmachari (celibate) and if they worship him they will be celibate too. People say they do not want to worship Rama because will suffer like Sri Rama. Similarl is the fate for Bhagwan Sri Krishna. SambaSadaShiv is aghori so one should not touch Shiv Ling or keep it in the house. BUT EVERY ONE PRAYS TO MAA LAXMI, the reality is you must pray to all her three swaroop KRIYA, ICHA AND GYAN Valmiki Ramayana explains through Dasaratha and Vishwamitra Samwad (discussion) why Bhagwan Sri Rama sleeps (retires) at sunset. Here Valmiki Ramayana tells us about the connections between planets and body especially around Sani Trayodasi Mahrishi Viswamitra states that we should not be afraid of Sani. Sani is a yoga purusha. Sani gives energy to indriyas. One gets different vibrations by reciting Sanhi strota and mantra. OM, Rajyalaxmi
