Guest guest
JAI MAA, Try Durga Mantra: (108 times) om aim hreem kleem chamundayey vicchhe Gururbrahmaa gururvishnuh gururdevo Maheswarah | Guruh-saakshaat parabrahma tasmai shrigurave namah || Om, Rajyalaxmi > > > Dear friends, I like your group very much. It is so inspiring. I do have a question about Devi worship. Please, do advise me how to start my japa practice. I would like to use a cristal beads mala (I heard it is good for Devi japa). And can someone be so kind and tell me which mantra would be apropriate? I am fond of bija mantras and I was considering Aum Aim Shreem Kleem Swaha. I know the question is kind of a general one, but I need your help and inspiration. I do have a feeling that Divine Mother is guiding me through this lifetime. G R A T I T U D E. Guest guest
There are tutorials in various places on getting started with mantra japa. You might try www.shreemaa.org, which has video tutorials on a number of subjects. Do I dare say it in public? She is Bhairavi with Shiva, Durga with Her children, Sita with Lakshmana. She's mother, daughter, wife, sister - Every woman close to you. What more can Ramprasad say? Guest guest
Om namah shivaya Sri Matre Nayaha Please have yourself initiated first and do not venture into any bija mantra chanting until then - as bija mantras are poverful and requires touch with a guru - who knows what mantra is to be given to which disciple. The Guru will also guide you how to do the mantrajapa and to which beads are good and how to hold the japamala. Guest guest
Thank you so much dear Shakti Thondan. It is very useful. First time I pronounced those mantras I felt a rush of energy. They are very powerful. Thank you and all those who are helping their younger brothers and sisters (spiritually). Guest guest
Dear Ravi, thank you for your advice. I find the mantra Aum Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundaye Vicche Namaha very close to my heart, and the feeling after chanting it a few times is energy and joy. I found it on Yogi Hari's CD called A Garland of Moksha Mantras. Do you feel that a sadhak's devotion to Devi is not sufficient on a spiritual path? I am sure, if Mother wants me to follow a certain Guru she will take care of my needs as She usually does. Guest guest
Absolutely RIGHT. All that a person needs is a true yearning and aspiration with no expectation other than realizing the connection to the Mother. Everything else She will take care of. In this case, Mother will send the Guru or She Herself will come as Guru to the Saadhakaa. As the Mother says, " If you take one sincere step towards Me, I will take nine steps towards you. " If you are feeling the energy by reciting whatever mantra that our fellow Saadhakaas have provided as guidance here or you have learned from other sources, good enough they are as long as your longing for realization is true and authentic.
