In the Dark Vastitudes

 

 

To speak of the wonders of Eternity

is to detail all-glorying in Your Presence, Beloved.

 

Enmazed in the labyrinth of human reflections across time,

the wastelands & vaguenesses of men's laborious philosophizings,

all the sterilities & aridities of tedious & fruitless thought

that knows You not; how to *real*ize the unthinkable from these?

Your Numinosity is not a product of thought; Your Presence

is beyond defining; only *awareness* knows --

& in this awakening we grow.

 

Do you tease us with an elusive magnificence of a Vision, Divine?

What insight into Cause and Meaning? What ultimate understanding

of absolute Truth? o secrecy terrific in the dark vastitudes

of Your womb of Becoming... o Spirit tremendous, glorious

in Your all-generating Love... what strange birthings into time?

 

In You we abide in a celebrative festival

of heart & spirit seeing all-being

in a different light than all the paradigms of the past

have imaged the Body of Your Wisdom, enfleshed...

 

You whisper Your Love thru the aeons of time

into the heartbeat of this very moment...
