Guest guest
Hii, Today is Mothers Day, let all of us bow down to beloving mothers in our world and obesiance to mother of the mothers 'srimatha' (mother goddess). Here we have an beautiful article on our divine mother. Srimatha The Whole Creation is decorated into Nine illusions. One who helps us to over come from these is Mother Goddess Durga. When we start praying DivineMother, she will shower her blessings before the prayer completes. Soundarya Lahari of Sri Adi Sankaracharya is a very good example for this.Divine Mother gives her darshan in various forms, she appears to us and bestow her blessings in the same form as the one in which we meditate and pray. lakshMi pradhAna samayE navavidrumAbhAm vidyA pradhAna samayE sharadindu niramAlam vidvEshi varga vijayE tamalA nilAm dEvIM trilOka jananIm sharaNam prapadyE We can experience the presence of god as per our perception. If we start worshipping a stone as 'Mother Gowri', she will respond. You need not fear or doubt to worship Divine Mother. I feel divine mother as one of the members in my family or one among my children. In fact, 'Adidampatulu' the mother and father of the world have come out from our feel (Bhavana), so lord shiva is named as 'Bhuva' and mother as 'Bhavani'. The whole process is called 'Bhavanitvam', which means, immerse me into you. We can overcome the ignorance and enlighten our lives only with the blessings of 'Jaganmatha' (mother of the universe). If a child is hungry he or she will crave for mother as well as mother's milk. Similary, we live in ignorance and we have to crave for divine mother with utmost devotion and submission to enlighten ourselves. She will bestow knowledge upon us, thus she is named as 'Gyanaprasunamba'. Once upon a time 'Devathas' (Celestial Beings) made victory over 'Rakshas' (demons). When they are celebrating their success, they have seen a woman with a golden shine. From these 'Holy Beings' Agni (God of Fire) has come forward and said ' I am powerful and I can destroy anything in this world'. Then that woman gave him a blade of grass straw to extinguish, but 'agni' could not destroy it with all his powers and strength. Similarly, 'Vayu' (God of Air), 'Varuna' (God of Water), 'Indra' (God of Heaven) have tried their best and failed to destroy a grass straw. Then they realised, all their energy, power, strength, knowledge they acquired is from 'Jaganmatha' '(the mother of the universe). We keep saying 'I can do this work' sometimes we also say 'I cannot do this work', which means, we have 'shakthi' (energy) to do this work, ether way we don't have energy to do this work. Divine mother 'Sridevi' is none other than that energy. The below stanza in 'Soundarya Lahari' explains about the energy ( 'shakthi' ) by Shri Adi Sankaracharya. " Shivah shakthya yukto yadi bhavati saktah prabhavitum Na chedevam devo nakhalu kusalah spanditumapi; Atas tvam aradhyam Hari-Hara-Virinchadibhir api Pranantum stotum vaa katham-akart punyah prabhavathi " to be continued...
