Guest guest
 Pranam. A poem I wrote. Please read and comment. And, pls suggest a title. Thank you. With Love Shankaree  They say Devi doesn’t exist They laugh and crow in derision  Only God is true, they insist You worship the Devil, they snort  Should I listen to these fools? In darkness, they whirl about  They know not true peace In fear, they mock Her, their own Mother.  My Mother smiles serenely At the antics of Her silly children  They deny Her Not knowing Her true identity  I confess, I grow angry And then complain to Her  She soothes me and tells me To forbear with my brethren  Amma, I ask You, Why should I always be the patient one?  She replies, “For you to grow.†“Grow, Amma?†“Grow closer to Me,†She says And leans down to kiss me.   Now, you tell me What else can I do???    Shankaree Ramatas Pralath 21/05/2009  Let my every word be a prayer to Thee, Every movement of my hands a ritual gesture to Thee, Every step I take a circumambulation of Thy image, Every morsel I eat a rite of sacrifice to Thee, Every time I lay down a prostration at Thy feet; Every act of personal pleasure and all else that I do, Let it all be a form of worshiping Thee.
