Guest guest
casteism is bane of hindu society. its a proven fact that man is not created by jehova/allah as per bible/koran from mud/dirt. nor from any god mouth brahmin came, nor from any god shoulders kshatriya came, nor from any god's leg vaishya came nor from any god's foot shudra came. fact is we r evoled by nature and the proof is in our dna. and who is nature = param prakruti ??? divine mother adi shakti mahatripurasundari. thus the basis for casteism is man created, not created by mother. even in sri devi geeta mother says to himalay that one shud not discriminate on caste and creed, but treat all equally. so we as humble children of sirmaa shud be the first to break caste and unite hinduism and spread it to world. mother herself is dharma arth kaam moksha rupa and she is the 5 maha tatva and atma also. om shakti gopal On 5/25/09, Sreekumar <nairvps wrote: > > > > ||sri matre nama:|| > > what a novel way to keep the group active!!!!!!!!!! > > anyway actualy I wanna go through the commentary written by Late Narayana > Menon. > please help me kochuzji. > > Sreekumar > > On Mon, May 25, 2009 at 10:04 AM, Shakti Thondan <sakthithondan<sakthithondan%40> > >wrote: > > > > > > > Talking about one's Guru is not a " discriminating " information, whereas > > mentioning about caste, religion, etc. which has historically been > factors > > of discrimination. Guest guest
Gopal: I agree. The more egalitarian a society, the more prosperous it is as a whole. Take a look at some Buddhist countries to see what I mean. We like to think that the caste system is solely an Indian creation. When I lived in the Old South here in the USA, the poor especially blacks were considered a separate " caste " if you will. The wealthy are admired just because they are wealthy and for no other reason. We have a caste of extreme wealthy who can do no wrong, and a caste of the extreme poor who seem to do everything wrong. The British nobility is a type of caste. Ironic that they should point a finger at India when they do the same thing. My point is inequality of any sort can not be spiritual. The Vedas also ask us to think for ourselves. The guru is the Atman, and a human guru is the Atman in living flesh who will lead us to see the Atman within us and all things. Guest guest
the how and why the caste system crystalised to what it is now is a controversial topic. But I can tell this. Many of the Vedic Rishis were from the so called low castes. Remember the story of Satyakama Jabala. One of the greatest Rishis of Sreevidya - the wife of the highest brahmin sage Agstya belonged to one of the lower castes - though a princess. Caste got corrupted and a birth right because of various other reasons. --- On Tue, 5/26/09, Shankari Kali <shankari_kali wrote: Shankari Kali <shankari_kali Re: casteism is bane of indian society Tuesday, May 26, 2009, 10:08 PM Gopal: I agree.
