Guest guest
Srimatha When 'devathas' could not bear the sufferings inflicted by Sumbha and Nisumbha (demons), they went to seek the help from Divine Mother. At that time Mother Goddess was bringing water from river to cook food. When Ambika heard their pain, she kept the water pot on the ground and went to fight with Sumbha and Nisumbha. Not only their Army, even Sumbha and Nisumbha were defeated in the hands of Divine Mother. Mother is so compassionate towards her children, when we think of her in pain, she stops her work, rushes towards us to cure our pain. Manmatha was burnt to ashes by the fire from the eyes of rudra. Once BalaGanapathy (when ganapathy was child), made a toy with that ash. When Lord Brahma saw that toy, a word 'Bhanda' 'Bhanda' had come out from his mouth which means 'surprise ' 'surprise '. The toy is none other than the demon 'Bhandasura'. As he was born from Shiva's anger and Manmatha's Desire, nobody could defeat him, but Divine Mother killed demon Bhandasura and brought peace. The demon 'Mahishasura' was also killed in the hands of Divine Mother, Mother Goddess killed Mahishasura for the welfare of the world. Why should we worship now Mother Goddess for killing demons like Bhandasura and Mahishasura, that too long time back? 'Bhandasura' signifies 'Kama' (desire) and 'Krodha' (anger), 'Mahishasura' signifies 'Laziness' - lack of mental and physical activity. All our six internal enemies like desire, anger, greed, delusion, pride and jealousy ( arishadvargas ) are none other than these demons. With the Blessings of Mother Goddess we can come out of these arishadvargas and get into good path of life. Divine Mother awakens our 'Iccha Sakthi - Gnana Sakthi - Kriya Sakthi' ( power of desire , power of wisdom and power of willing to do work ). She will stimulate our 'Buddhi' which will inspire us to do good deeds. If we think practically, we will be gifted with Wisdom and Wealth with the blessings of Divine Mother. She herself is 'Goddess Saraswathi' = 'Swa' - In Us, 'Sara' - 'Athi' - One who gives. She will bless us with 'AtmaGyana' ( to find our innerself ). One who enables self-realization is 'Goddess Lakshmi'. She is born in water and lives in water. 'Narayani' sister of 'Narayana' i.e., 'Goddess Parvathi' gifts us with 'Prosperity'. Before commencing our education we worship Goddess Saraswathi, We worship Goddess Parvathi when we get into wedlock. We worship Goddess Lakshmi on Diwali and Sravana Masam. In all auspicious deeds, we first worship 'Divine Mother' ' shrI lakShmInArAyaNAbhyAM namaH ' 'umA maheshvarAbhyAM namaH ' 'vAnI Hiranya GaRbhAbhyAM namaH' 'shachIpuraMdarAbhyAM namaH' 'shrI SitA rAmAbhyAM namaH' 'ArUndhatI vashishtAbhyAM namaH'. In all the Mantras we first meditate 'Divine Mother' . to be continued... COURTESY : MIHIRA thank you, regards, surekha.
