Guest guest
Dear Group: I have a small booklet and CD from Sri Karunamayi. It has the Khadgamala Stotram in the booklet. I got up on Shakti Sadhana' website and downloaded the version on there. I did notice that it was 149 pages. When I began looking at it, I noticed it was quite different from the one I had from Sri Karunamayi. I do not mean to disrespect anyone. I simply want to know why it's different. Also, I'm having trouble printing out something that huge. Do you have it in a booklet form somewhere. Thanks, Shankari
Guest guest
Sri Karunamayi is from a different lineage; presumably that's the difference you're seeing: her KS is a different recension. Perhaps our learned members can give a more precise answer. As far as the file length issue goes.... The file Khadgamala_SS.pdf in the 'Files' section of this e-group is 36 pages long. Take a look at that version. , Shankari Kali <shankari_kali wrote: > > I have a small booklet and CD from Sri Karunamayi. Guest guest
each god has various stotras with similar names. like kaali khadagmala i hv 3 versions. tripurasundari khadagmala i got 2-3 books with slightly different versions. so,i guess various rishis got different khadagmalas. same for kavach like durga kavach, kaali kavach etc. even lord varaha kavach, lord narayan kavach, lord hanuman kavach many variations r there. om shakti gopal On 6/10/09, Shankari Kali <shankari_kali wrote: > > > > Dear Group: > > I have a small booklet and CD from Sri Karunamayi. Guest guest
I noticed on the 36 page version the differences are minimal. I guess the 149 page version may have been something else. Have you worked with the Kali Kadgamala? I noticed that Shakti Sadhana had that as well listed on their website. It looks similar to the Kadgamala stotram except with Mahakali in the text. Can you give me advice on this text?
