Guest guest
For discussions of the available English translations, retellings, and commentary, you can search the message archives; this topic comes up now and then. Here's a summary: /message/30275 There might be a Sanskrit version online; I haven't looked. See the 'Links' section of the e-group for places where you can search. , anu radha <swamy_anuradha wrote: > > Could anyone advise me any site pertaining to Sri Mad Devi Bhagavatam need only the lyrics/script/slokas in Sanskrit as well in English. > > Thanks & Regards > S.Anuradha > >
Guest guest
Just like " anuradha " becoming " anu radha " , " shrimat " has become " Sri Mad " !! I have not heard of this MAD Bhagavatam. I am writing this because writing Sanskrit in English except with translit or other recognised transliteration methods lead to great difference in meaning. Similarly when Tamils write sanskrit words in English the wrong emphasis is given resultin in hilarious spellings and meanings making sense non-sense. While Tamil is the oldest living language it provides that ka represents ka, kha, ga and gha. The difference is indicated by marks. But unfortunately this difference is forgotten when transliterating in English giving rise to hilarious results. I think this trend has to be depricated. When we are dealing with Sanskrit it would be nice if people learn the language at least to a limited extent. Sorry, I am not starting a flame war. --- On Mon, 6/22/09, anu radha <swamy_anuradha wrote: anu radha <swamy_anuradha Looking for he Sri Mad Devi Bhagavatam Monday, June 22, 2009, 4:45 PM Could anyone advise me any site pertaining to Sri Mad Devi Bhagavatam need only the lyrics/script/ slokas in Sanskrit as well in English.
