Guest guest
Msbauju state: the net isn't all of reality. I'm trying to understand this statement; what do you mean as isn't' all reality? You know somebody told me this once: the net is just an illusion. So which means also my net friends are also an illusion. They are not real….they are not suppose to exist. Are they? And So I ask again: when I chat with somebody on the other side who do you think I'm chatting with? A ghost? There is somebody… another human being just like myself over the other side. We may not see each other [ now with the vcam etc… it makes it more visible] but we are communicating. We are interacting are we not? The computer is just a tool we use to communicate with each other in the cyberspace. How can you say it does not exist? What can we make of such cyber group like Shakti Sadhana. Can we consider it as a cyber temple? Is the virtual group too an illusion… and isn't all a reality? I like to relate to you all a very short story : The Last Abishegam Once a upon a time theres, a little shrine, locate in the heart of an oil palm estate. From a shrine it grew to become a small temple, we named Sri Shaktimigudurgaiamman. It became very popular and more people came to the temple. As the devotee numbers grew and people flocking in to the temple, so does jealousy, pride and ego ....Now what is left is a barren piece of land, with no trees or grass ever grow in a once fertile place filled with fruits and beautiful flowers. ....... but every year, August 31st, a small group of devotees still feels connected to the Divine Mother, will gather at Sri Mariamman Temple. Located about 2km from where the once grand temple lies. On that day we do a Maha Abishegam and pooja in the name of Sri Shaktimigudurgaiamman. The Mother we once have fallen in love with and still feel the love inside our heart. What is left is only the piece of barren land to remind us and pictures to keep the memory alive. People use to glorify about temples…….and their sacredness. I often wondered what makes the temple great? The structure…..or the people that comes there? What makes the temple a sacred or special is because it's a meeting point of spiritualist? A place where all come and meet. The greatness of a temple lies when it is no more. Weather the people who once congregate at that particular point able to maintain the bond and the togetherness. Just like the people who once go to Sri Shaktimigudurgaiamman. They have all gone their separate ways but they still maintain contact with each other. Their children become friends. And because of the close bond they have for the mother and with each other, they make the effort to come and meet every year. Don't have to be at the same place where the temple lies, but as long as there are the meetings and the congregation, the temple of the divine mother is still alive. She is alive in the heart and mind of the people. What can we say then about this virtual group .Why are we all here….by chance….by accident? No it's meant to be. Yes! The cyberspace is limitless…..beyond boundaries, but we all meet at this particular point in the cyberspace…a place we all call Shakti Sadhana. That is the reality of it. And its from this space... that we all become friends… our children too become friends….we follow up with phone calls….visiting each other physically. When we all have gone, our children or grandchildren will perhaps too meet and ask: how do our family meet each other? And when they trace back : we all meet via the cyberspace: the virtual group everybody knows as Shakti Sadhana. So how can we say the net is nothing but an illusion?
