Guest guest
Water, ice and steam are one. You are someone's child, and may also be someone's parent, someone's sibling, someone's spouse, someone's colleague, etc etc -- and yet you too are one. Yantra is a Divine Energy is the form of a geometric matrix; Mantra is the same Energy in the form of sound; the image of the deity is that same Energy again in anthropomorphic and/or zoomorphic form for purposes of dualistic visualization and worship; Guru is the Energy in human form; Your own subtle body and mind form the Energy's greatest yantra of all. All of these various forms are aspects a single Energy. All of the various Energies are variant forms of Devi. Thus, as you hear again and again around here: All is Devi. aim mAtangyai namaH , Sriram Dongre <sriramadongre wrote: > > > Can someone explain this concept as mentioned in LS ? > > " Yantra, Mantra, Deity, Guru and self are one. Guest guest
Dear Sir, Thank you very much for the explanation. I would like to understand more on this point. Like, any amount of telling a diamond merchant that charcoal and diamond are same (they are made of same carbon) , does it make any sense to him? Does that just remains a statement (of theory) or does the Sadhak experience it ? Kindly explain the significance of the statement ? Guest guest
We live in the phenomenal world, and thus phenomenal rules apply. In meditation, the sadhaka may experience unity for a time, and may return to this experience again and again, finding sustenance, comfort and energy there. But to live and function in the phenomenal world, we return must return our perspective to that channel or wavelength, and play by its rules. In the phenomenal world, in our phenomenal body, fire will burn us, a vacuum will asphixiate us, attempting to breath underwater will drown us, etc etc. And so telling a Christian that she is really worshiping Krishna will not be a welcome revelation; nor will telling a Muslim that their Allah is One with Devi. And even with Shaktism -- Saraswati plays one role, Durga another, Lakshmi yet another. So I will not tell my son that I am his uncle, or my employer that I am his mother, or my wife that I am her grandfather. Likewise I will not worship Varahi with Lalita's mantra, nor will I confuse Her mantra with Her yantra or Her murthi. And no, I will not attempt to sell coal to a diamond dealer or diamonds to a coal dealer, as I will not attempt to heat my home with diamonds or create jewelry from coal. If I want to cool my drink, I'll use water in the form of ice not steam. Devi takes on all of these different forms for different purposes. Wisdom, in this world or any other, consists in knowing the proper form for the proper time, place and occasion. aim mAtangyai namaH , Sriram Dongre <sriramadongre wrote: > > Dear Sir, > > Thank you very much for the explanation. > > Thanks, > Sriram > > --- On Fri, 7/24/09, Devi Bhakta <devi_bhakta wrote: > > > Devi Bhakta <devi_bhakta > Re: They are one > > Friday, July 24, 2009, 7:26 PM > > > > > > > Water, ice and steam are one.
