Guest guest
Namaste, Thank you for this article. Interesting enough, a teaching assistant at my university actually gave a lecture regarding " racial interrelations " in India. She acknowledged there being Aryans and Dravidians, but said race was never really part of the enforcement of social norms in India's history prior to colonialism. Thus, there was no " racial interrelations " in India short of people acknowledging coming from different states and territories. In addition, she said that the only distinction ever made in the society was the caste system and she said that distinction is not prevalent in urban areas of India anymore. This said, a lot of new research in general suggests that there actually is no genetic distinction between any race. Our physical differences come from adaptation to climates and territory and environments. It is nice for more research to come out and suggest similar things. Jai Ma! Sincerely, Arya/Christina On Thu, Oct 8, 2009 at 2:53 PM, Sudhir-Architect <ar_sudhirkumarwrote: > > > Aryan-Dravidian divide a myth: Study > TNN 25 September 2009 > > http://timesofindia .indiatimes. com/news/ india/Aryan- Dravidian- > divide-a- myth-Study/ articleshow/ 5053274.cms >
