Guest guest
Namaste, I was wondering if anyone knew the mantra, or a mantra, for self-forgiveness? I feel what others have crudely called " the Catholic guilt " creeping in me and I think it is a sign that I have not forgiven myself, or fully faced, the event in which deigns to haunt me. In my studying, I suddenly felt myself burst into tears. Mentally, I know the past is still the past, but I cannot seem to convince my body and heart of such fully yet. I still feel the pain. Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta In my view the only mantra that releases you from any kind of attachment of the past is the mrithyunjaya mantra . It says like a pumpkin which is ripe and detached from the creeper yet looks attached to the creeper. We have unidentify ourselves. It makes us keep flowing like the river and freeze like ice to finally reach our destination of the ocean of Moksha. I also read that it is so simple to attain enlightenment like the Buddha just in a second if we are able to allow ALL our thoughts flow (happy or sad) without letting it get attached to our conscious mind we have attained enlightenment. A simple exercise will help us to free us from guilt or pain or anger or lust . We know that we are not the body. We know that we are not the mind. Our thoughts are like a film running on a screen one AFTER the other (no two thoughts at the same time) Just keep watching the flow of thought like an outsider . You will find the mind calming down slowly revealing our true self - the Consciousness, the purest of the pure. You are liberated as all the truth will reveal itself thereafter. It looks simple but our past karmas saved as memories in the inter cellular space will keep popping up as thoughts . We need to just observe like an outsider . It will be difficult initially. We should be able to move up slowly if practiced daily without fail. Just remember- either pain or pleasure are nothing but physical reaction to the chemicals(hormones) released by the brain when those thoughts appear in our mind and we attach our attention to it. Let these flow without we stopping to own them we will feel the calm settling down and raise our spiritual level higher and higher. Just chant Mrityunjaia mantra starting with " Triyambakam yajamage sugandhim ----- 11 times Warm regards Shree Guru Datta Ramakrishnan On Mon, Oct 12, 2009 at 2:43 PM, Amaya Kalarathri < theilluminatedcelestial wrote: > > > I was wondering if anyone knew the mantra, or a mantra, for > self-forgiveness?
