Guest guest
Dear Mr Ramchadran, Bijaksharas , Mantras and Stotras can be chanted 1) Loudly ( where everyone can listen) , 2) Using the tounge and lips but not audible to anyone apart from self and 3) Mentally ( in thought form without using tounge and lips). The third is considered the best. However if your Guru has instructed you not to divulge your mantra, then loud japa is obviously not allowed. Unless no one is within earshot. Regards Rohit.  ekambaram ramachandran <ekambaramr All the bijaksharas like " Aim " , " Sreem " , " Hreem " should they be chanted aloud ONLY? Or, could it also be just repeated in just in our thoughts/mind. Is one method better than the other? If so what is it and how? Also does the same rule apply for chanting Stotras and Mantras? Please help me in understanding this.
