There is no pancayatana in ved. This is not the case of raatri sukta or devi sukta. It is written for Recitation like a Puja. Every Passage is in Devanagari, romanized transliteration (the font denotes every particular letter so that incorrect pronounciation can be avoided) and a translation into American english. All the four Vedas and Vedic literature , or the famous " Prasthana Trayii " as defined by Sankaracharya for Vedic religion has no Place for " Sree Durga Sapta Sati " . I sincerly request you to not waste your time in replying to such people. There are a lot of people western educated who take delight in belittling their own religion and scriptures in the name of knowing the truth and getting facts straight. Such people will continue to argue and argue and will get nowhere. All they read of the Vedas are translations written by foreign people written in English and intepreted in the way they want. What will they know? What will they understand? Can they receite any Vedic suktas ( Rudram Shri suktas etc) with vedic accents? Time is better spent in doing actual sadhana and worship than discussing which religion was first and whether Devi worship was started by x first or y or what is contained in the Vedas. Dharma is in the actual performance and action. Not in discussions and arguments. The Mother is pleased by actual worship and not mere discussions. Will discussing and aruguing the receipe of a sweet, give you the taste of it? No! Likewise disucssing when the Vedas were written and when Devi worship started etc etc. does not give the grace of the Mother. Obtaining Her grace is what is should be our focus and aim of our efforts. ! Shradhavan labhate jnanam! Only with faith can knowledge be got. Vitanda vada is to be avoided for serious sadhakas.
