Dear all

After going through all the points by saikat mitra,  colin etc I felt it

essential to discuss one last point regarding desire. Well as you all agree

desire is required for creativity, but for someone who adopts spirituality as

his primary objective this often creats confusion. It is the ego within you

which makes problem and not the desire as it is. To perform your karma also

desire is required- to create passion in it and enhance the creativity and

productivity. But that should be like a submission to the almighty who makes us

do all these, the supreme consciousness gets everything done through us right?

Krishna can't be a casanova after all since he never went behind any females but

viceversa and he never tried to seduce or elope with anyone. The desire slowly

gets expanded with time and that makes the next issue. And the last is the

vasanas which gets attached to the spirit compelling us to take birth again and

again which is not recommended in any books except the modern spiritualists...?

kindly give your comments

I like this idea- it makes a lot of sense. But I didn't quite understand what

you were trying to say with the last part of your paragraph.

some words for lord krishna, not directly connected to the discussion.

lord krishna is jagatguru.

he is master of sexuality and master of spirituality.

has married 16108 wives.

but why did he do this ??

as per srimad bhagwat puran, the king of pragjyotishpura [ present day assam

]

had imprisoned many many women and was doing horrible things to them.

some of them asked our lord for help.

he killed the demon king and freed the women.

they had no where to go as they had been voilated by the demon,

and thus either wud cummit suicide or do something that wud

not be conducice to society [ prostitution ] for a living

as their families wud never take them in.

our divine lord therefore to avoid such a huge problem married them all.

thus we can firmly say that he was the world's leading reformers of his

time.

dear salma

I think that was a bit confusing with a mix of points. Basically what I meant

was that krishna cannot be a casanove as you said due to several reasons.

It is clear that he was the centre point of attraction during his times i.e, he

never chased/stalked any girls. It was the opposite sex (along with others) who

were attracted to him. In other words he did not have any desire for that since

he was beyond the level of having kama/ vasana/ desrire etc he was just enjoying

as I said earlier.

So these stories must have been written either symbolically or with some other

concept and so not to be considered as what a normal man does when he tries to

elope with his friends wife.

For an immortal/ incarnation (avatar) the spirit is not contaminated with any

external stimulii and so is free of the cycle of rebirths. Their descent to

earth has specific purposes.

hope its clear, but i suppose this will go on geting connected with other

points, anyway thank u and pranam
