Guest guest
I hadn't heard the 'from Greece' origin for Vedic astrology. Is that from Linda Johnsen's _Lost Masters_ book (which I haven't read)? --- Santo Sengupta <s.santo.sengupta wrote: > Though Hindu's have a long tradition of astrology (Jyotish), and we > frequently call it " Vedic Astrology " , it's likely > that the basics of it came > to us from contacts with the Greeks and was integrated > into our religious > system. A few years ago I spent some time reading Aurobindo. Or rather, I spent a bunch of time spinning my wheels trying to read Aurobindo, and then ended up getting a little traction with M.P. Pandit's books on Aurobindo. I particularly recommend Pandit's _Heart of Sadhana_ on Aurobindo's _The Mother book_. While I ended up (I think) with an appreciation of Aurobindo, I would't go so far as to say I find him or his work *personally* inspiring. So what (writings or concept or ???) inspires you re: Aurobindo? --- Santo Sengupta <s.santo.sengupta wrote: > I'm inspired by the work of Sri Aurobindo and the like. >
