Guest guest
Dear Sir, Thank you for giving the details of Temples from 6th to 18th Century AD. We are more interested in Hindu temples of prior to 500BC . Further , what was the 1st temple of Hindus, when and where it is available ? It will be highly appreciated if we can get to know the above details. Guest guest
How many structures from before 500 BC are still around. This ofcourse means there wasnt anything on the planet before that. regards Aditya On Thu, Nov 26, 2009 at 4:36 PM, Abhijit Dasgupta < abhijitdasgupta92 wrote: > > > We are more interested in Hindu temples of prior to 500BC . > > Further , what was the 1st temple of Hindus, when and where it is available > ? >
Guest guest
>How many structures from before 500 BC are still around. This ofcourse means >there wasnt anything on the planet before that. Quite a few, actually. The temples of Malta (from 3200 BCE), the megalithic monuments in many countries around the world, Egyptian temples, remains of ziggurats, some Peruvian temples and pyramids, Greek sanctuaries of Hera, the earliest North American mounds (Poverty Point, ca 1500 BCE). There are others like the 7th millennium Syrian shrines whose age is so great that they became submerged in earth and had to be excavated. I would be interested to know about the earliest Indian temples. Some say that the Buddhist temples were the first (stone temples) -- but i'm not convinced. Guest guest
Dear Mr. Gopal Narayan, Thank you for some reply as per Shiva Purana. I do not need any proof. You live with your belief . According to modern historians and researchers Lord Brahma came to inaugurate all the famous temples of India, which were built by Lord Vishwakarma around 6th Century AD onwards. This includes, Jagannath Temple of Puri, Vishnu temple of Gaya, Meenaxi Temple of Madurai, Tirupathi temple of Thirupathi. Vishwanath Temple of Kasi, Somnath temple of Gujrat, Kali Ghat temple of Kalikata etc. Thanks for your information. Guest guest
Dear Gopal Narayanji, With the blessing of Siva Gorokhsha, I submit that that the temples you mentioned are built after 3rd Century AD. The proof does not require the stamp of Govt. of India. Well for your satisfaction, besides Congress party, Janata Dal and BJP also ruled at Delhi. According to Researchers and historians, architects and others deals with this issue, no Temple of India is more than 1500yrs old, as per carbon test and other historical references. Guest guest
Dear Sri Gopal Narayanjee, Thank you for your reply. I am neither Leftist nor rightist nor Madhya panthi. I do analysis on my own way, Puranas can be considered as history, but I respect Puranas because it helps up in knowing to certain extent but with out dates and also the stories not compiled in a orderly way. Besides the Puranas were compiled upto 15th century AD, and a lot of manipulation is done. Even If you like to discuss the dates of Bhagavat Gita, we can discuss separately, not on any forum. I have made certain research on it. With kind regards.
