Thanking the officials, temple employees and others for the successful and incident-free conclusion of the Bhavani deeksha, he said the temple earned a revenue of Rs 61.09 lakh through sale of prasadam and Kesakandana and other sevas during the Bhavani deeksha period. He said hundi collections were yet to be counted. He said elaborate arrangements were made at the bathing ghats and buses from Annavaram, Srisailam and Dwaraka Tirumala temples were brought for the convenience of devotees here. The temple executive officer said that free meals was provided to 3,000 devotees every day and free `Pulihora' and water packets were distributed to Bhavanis as agitation was going on for United Andhra Pradesh and all hotels observed bandh during the conclusion of Bhavani Deeksha. The executive officer said priority would be given to improve facilities at the temple and an information centre would be set up at Arundel chowltry at the foothill of the ghatroad for the convenience of outstation devotees.Prasadam counters would also be set up at the chowltry. He said several donors were coming forward and steps would be taken to construct cottages near the temple for the benefit of devotees.
