The yatra which commenced on December 28 will continue till January 11. On December 30, there will be a jagran' during which a procession with the Devi's idol sitting in a silver palkhi will go through the village and culminate at the temple. On December 31, a mahapuja will be conducted on the occasion of Shakhmbhari Purnima by temple president and district sessions judge PD Bharad, the note added. District administration and the trust have made all arrangements to ensure the devotees' safety and convenience. These include continuous water supply, electricity, parking facility, ambulance, barricades and so on. Eight teams from the Mumbai police traffic department have been deputed and for the first time ever, CCTV cameras will be installed at various places for vigilance. Keeping in mind the sanctity of the occasion, all superstitious malpractises such as the use of tantric symbols, animal sacrifice and so on have been banned, District Collector Vikas Deshmukh said. Apart from this, 300 volunteers of the Aniruddha Bapu Seva Trust will be present to help devotees. It may be recollected that in 2005, over 350 people were killed in a stampede.
