It's said that mantric sadhana performed during an eclipse intensifies the experience by 100,000 times. As we prepare to open the door to year 2010, it seems obvious to me that this is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with Lord Ganesha, the granter of auspicious beginnings. The days leading to a Full Moon are also sacred to Durga Ma, so I'd suggest sending namaskars to Ganapati's mother as well. May the New Year bring us good health, abundant wealth, and open us to wisdom.
