Guest guest
Dear Ishmael, I enjoyed your description of the storm. It reminds me of a sanskrit phrase; " Tat ksanam kim nah kuraddhi prasaddha paremeshwarah " - (In)that instant what can the Beloved Lord not do? If we could only keep our attention at that level of awareness constantly we could move mountains. Sri Mataji points out that the word " Shraddha " is more than just faith. It is that live connection. Years ago when my daughter was still a child she woke me up crying out in delerium. She was burning with fever when I touched her. I just called " Mahakali, please help! " and she was instantly cool. It seems as if we often divide our concerns up into areas which we consider ourselves personally responsible for and other areas which are within the province of the Divine. When my aged parents were still alive I mentally seperated them from my sahaj life because they were not interested. Until one day in extremis I prayed " Sri Mataji Please; You look after them. " Of course all the difficulties were quickly solved and they were soon able to leave this life. I guess my concern was really holding them back. In my own case the christian conditioning certainly put God at a distance and " faith " implies waiting patiently. In sanskrit " tvam " is so familiar, calling on God as the friend, this was another joyous discovery. Jai Sri Mataji! Aunty Lyndal.
