We live in the age of miracles, you know. The scanner just photographs but then there is a connected programme which converts it into script and then it takes a while to go through that and tidy it up because the converter thing gets a bit confused by the passages in Hindi or where the paper on the original isn't quite smooth so it makes some funny guesses about what the words actually are. I am not very skilled at this sort of thing so I think I could have actually just typed the whoe document quicker than copying but it is all a good learning experience. Best of luck with the project.
