Guest guest
Dear SYs, Of all the religions perhaps Islam is the most ostracized by reason of history - forced conversions, kafir fundamentalism and prone to violence. " The Prophet had to face critics in his lifetime and continues to do so until today. His enemies in Makkah had said that he was 'a man possessed', 'a soothsayer', and 'a poet'. They condemned the Quran as ' a forgery' or 'sorcery' containing old stories stolen by him. Medieval Christian priests rightly saw the Prophet as central to Islam and attacked him with religious frenzy. For them he was the Antichrist. Stories circulated by the church projected him as a debauch, a charlatan and the ultimate enemy of Christ. They served to rally people, especially in the face of a seemingly unstoppable Islam. If he did not exist he would have to be invented by the church. Dante placed the Prophet in the inferno in his Divine Comedy. For Luther there were 'two archenemies of Christ': the Prophet and the Pope. Voltaire's play Mahomet, written in 1742, was another grotesque misinterpretation. The Prophet thus became the lightning rod for all kinds of social, political and religious ills of Islam as seen by the Christian West over the centuries. " (Professor Akhbar S. Ahmed, pg. 27, Islam Today) However, i was very fortunate as my birth was in Malaysia and the Muslims there are amongst the most pious, humble and friendly humans. Thus i can view them with a more passionate eye. Moreover, since the Quran declares that God's messengers will spread His Call to the Resurrection, as the SYs are doing today, it has made acceptance of Islam much easier. Contrary to what Muslims may one day raise as an issue for accepting Qiyamah, there is absolutely no need for conversion - we SYs are surrendered to God Almighty by submission to the Call of Resurrection. We are Muslims in the truest sense of the word. Since i have been born many a times, rebirth after rebirth on this earth, i must have been Muslim in a few or more of my previous lives. The followers of all different faiths must certainly have experienced other traditions. It is only after knowing Shri Mataji and meditating for years that it has been easy to accept all the messengers and religions. As long as humans are religious will the animosity and dislike for other religions remain. Only those on the spiritual level - yogis, sufis, gnostics, kaballists - will be able to overcome their inherited prejudices. However, only the message of the Last Judgment and Resurrection will force humanity to love one another unconditionally, the vision of Shri Mataji projected through Sahaja Yoga. There will be no Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Jews, Buddhists or Sikhs, just humans following the will of God Almighty. Nothing else will change the religious masses, even after centuries of bloodshed, violence and hatred. This change will be forced upon them for the sake of salvation, paradise, afterlife or moksa. Humans need a highly rewarding incentive to change - the promise of an eternal afterlife must be good enough. warmest regards, jagbir
