Guest guest
Dear All, I have attached a graphic i found on the web which illustrates the chakras above the head. It is these which once the knots of vishnu as they are called unravel, one begins to experience and meditate in these areas. They are beyond the Sahasrara and I believe Shri Mataji has said, that for most they are not worth even thinking about. That most people are woking in the chakras of agnya and sahasrara. So when i say, am where most are trying to go, it is here in these which are not even in this dimension. Love to All, Ishmael Tax Center - forms, calculators, tips, more http://taxes./
Guest guest
Hi all On the matter of the chakras beyond the Sahasrara, here's a short text I prepared several years ago. Shri Mataji did say in the months after Sahasrara Puja in 1983 (in response to many enquiries from yogis for further information) that we should first master the seven chakras associated with the physical body before concerning ourselves with the higher ones... On the 14th Sahasrara Day in 1983, Shri Mataji said: " After coming to Sahaja Yoga and after your Sahasrara has opened, you have to pass through these four chakras: Ardha-Bindu, Bindu, Valaya and Pradakshina. After passing through these four chakras only can you say that you have become a Sahaja Yogi. " On the 9th Day of Navaratri 1988, in Pune, Shri Mataji commented: " Within us, as you know, there are seven chakras for your ascent and two above it. So all these nine chakras are to be crossed in this life time. That should be your destiny. " Many of us have experienced that enlightened awareness that is beyond the Sahasrara, often in India, particularly in Ganapatipule. But how to describe this state? The legendary Nath yogi, Matsyendranath, in the third chapter of the Kaulajnanirnaya Tantra, puts it like this: " Dearest, (in the pinda exist) the chakras of five lines, 16 lines, sixty four petals, the truly beautiful 100 petal (lotus) [Agnya?] and the beautiful thousand petal lotus [sahasrara] and above this is a very brilliant 10,000,000 petal lotus. Above the 10 million petal lotus is a 30,000,000 petal lotus, each pericarp of which is similar to a flame. Above this is the all encompassing, eternal, undivided, independent, steady lotus – pervading all, stainless. By its will (sveccha) it causes creation and dissolution. Both the animate and inaminate are dissolved in this linga. " Something for us all to aim for... John sahajhist

The graphic is inspiring and reminds me of a photo on Jagbirs site where most of the yogis kundalinis are showing lights on the head but a few have columns going up out of the picture. I understood the Granthis to be placed between the interlocking petals of adjacent chakras. Brahma Granthi between Svaddhisthan and Manipur, Vishnu Granthi between Manipur and Anahat and Rudra Granthi between Anahat and Vishuddhi. Thanks for mentioning the tension in the vishnu granthi area. This is also the area where a throbbing becomes evident when one is near death, as my Doctor and I discovered once. He didn't know what it was and remarked on it, but he did know how critical my condition was fortunately, although at the time I was quite looking forward to leaving this body, but got an extension. When we are introducing new people to meditation it is sometimes useful to remind them to relax the abdomen and also the forehead, of course because these physical tensions are often overlooked but when eased make it easier for them to achieve meditation.
