2002 (+ earlier visits to Gulf in 1980s)

Additional notes on expansion of Sahaja Yoga:

Africa - whereas expansion of Sahaja Yoga in Europe, India, the

Americas, and Australasia has been with the substantive aid of HH

Shri Mataji's physical visits, expansion into Africa has been via

the yogis, mostly French and Swiss (and Australian in Sierra Leone in

mid 80s). Note also Gregoire's frequent visits throughout the

continent – see his comments in the Africa Newsletter vol.1

(2002).

A Sahaj map of Africa (Sahaj News no.243, Mar 2001) shows 19

countries. One should probably add Egypt which has had many Sahaj

visits since the English and Europeans yogis gave realisation enroute

to India in the mid-80s.

Pacific - Australians in New Zealand, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea;

French in New Caledonia.

South East Asia - Australians in Malaysia (early 80s), Hong

Kong, China,Indonesia; Austrians in Taiwan; French in Thailand.

(See also the flow chart in DCB Aug 92, for the Swiss influence in

Europe, Africa, Asia, S.America)

This is a timeline I recently prepared. It has an Australian bias.

There is a more detailed listing which I will post in pdf format

shortly. Comments very welcome.

Jai Shri Mataji!
