Hello everyone,

I have been reading posts from this forum for quite some time, and

have decided to finally say something.

First of all, I would like to say that I am a Sahaj yog. I also do

not doubt the strong energy emanating from Shri Mataji's picture,

because I can feel it and see it.

However, I don't know who exactly Shri Mataji is. I don't think

that she ever told anyone 'who' she was. Perhaps it is going to be

revealed to me later. Perhaps not. I see her now as an ascended

person who has opened up her uppermost chakra.

What I think is wrong is for Sahaj yogs to tell other people whom

they feel Shri Mataji is. If you think that Shri Mataji is coming

with the Final judgement, etc- that is your personal opinion. And

perhaps she is- who knows? But it is wrong for you to press your own

personal opinion onto others, and then to accuse them of not

being 'good' Sahaj yogs if they don't believe it.

I almost didn't become a Sahaj yog, because I was frightened away

by fanatical devotees of Shri Mataji. It was only thanks to the

positive influence of my friend's stepfather, a Sahaj yog for 12

years, and a person who has actually seen and talked to Shri Mataji,

that I tried something that has really changed my life in a

profoundly positive way.

I know a lot of people who have been scared away from SY because of

overzealous members trying to make them believe that Shri Mataji is

the reincarnation of the holy ghost, etc. They didn't get a chance to

experience for themselves what Shri Mataji really is!!

And that is very unfortunate.

And I also think that it's very unfortunate that nobody here spends

anytime discussing aspects of SY, and everybody is just focused on

rooting out dissenters. Why don't we just ignore them and talk about

other things???

Anyway, this is not my forum, but these are my humble suggestions.

dear Anushia,

Welcome to the Forum.

I hope you can take time to read the very early posts as this

topic has been discussed there too. In the first post Jagbhir

quoted a segment of the 1979 Advent declaration where Sri Mataji

stated in unequivical terms that She is the Adi Shakti, The Holy

Spirit, The Desire of God Almighty.

There have been many other similar announcements. On one occasion

in a public programme on the West Coast of America in 1982 She is

recorded on Video standing with Her arm up-raised loudly announcing

to thunderous applause from the audience...not many of them chose to

become Sahaja Yogis then, however.

There have also been many occasions when She has told us to tell

everyone who she is.

On one occasion at Cabella during the building activities She told

the men there to go into the local tavern and loudly declare to the

whole room that She is the Holy Spirit. They did. And the

conversations among the drinkers stopped for a few minutes and then

resumed.

I understand what you say about fanatical people however. Unless

we have reached the point where our knowledge of Who Sri Mataji is,

is seen and felt in the heart, not just the brain, then it is empty

words and fanatical adherence, like born-again Christians who

declare they " know Jesus " . I have seen people frightened by such

unconscious talk.

If possible I prefer to let new people hear and see Sri Mataji

announcing who She is and if they are genuine seekers they realise

with great joy, then, the real significance of the vibrations, for

themselves.

Many, many people who have been (apparently) involved in Sahaja

Yoga for years, running programmes, attending pujas and even

talking often to Sri Mataji in person, still drop out and are not

seen or heard of again. Who knows why. It is an individual journey

and no one can blame anyone else " fanatics " or whatever for their

own inability to desire this closest relationship to God in the

easiest possible manner that has ever been heard of in the history

of mankind.

Some of us who are getting old now can see very clearly that there

is not a lot of time left. For the world I mean. If you read any

scriptures or just look at the state of the environment etc. it is

very certain that time is short. That is why we have a sense of

urgency and seeing the extreme suffering of our fellow humans we are

trying to figure out the fastest, most effective means of conveying

this most important news of our vital transformation.

I'm sure if you listen to some of Sri Mataji's earlier talks (lately

She has been speaking more directly to sahaja Yogis about reaching

OUR potential) you will feel this urgency as strongly as we do.

with love from Aunty Lyndal.

Dear Mohan,

i am very interested in this so-called 'contradiction'. Can you be

specific and provide details of it please, especially quotes of Shri

Mataji saying that?
