Jai Sri Mataji

Dear Yogis,

I had been thinking about the Water Element myself lately - having

come accross some description about the Avatar of Sri Visnu as the

Boar-headed incarnation, Sri Varaha and His Shakti Sri Varahi.

I had a very enjoyable meditation and wondered about the way that

particular Avatara seems to excite such a strong response from my

kundalini. It occurs to me that His coming to rescue The Mother

Earth from out of the depths of the water was part of it...In this

incarnation Our Mother has taken her birth in the Chinese

astrological year of the Boar. At this time when one of the threats

of global warming is a fear that the oceans are rising.

I wonder if anyone else has any thoughts about this connection?

There was a film about trekking up the River Ganges to Her source

recently and the force with which She emerges from the glacier was

truly awe inspiring....tremendous vibrations just watching the

roaring torrent rushing out of the cave of ice.

Very touching to see the sincerity of the seekers who

venture all that way, right to the end, in the simplest

clothes...they never could have imagined the extreme cold, coming

from the plains.

There is a video where Sri Mataji is asking some yogis to list the

qualities of water as these are our qualities, the nature of the

sushumna.

Some of us think the drought we have been having for years here is

because hardly anyone drinks water and even then, seldom give thanks

for it.

with love from Aunty Lyndal
