A beautiful forward mail from Ioana. The Navaratri Puja talk is an

excerpt from the 1988 Navaratri Puja , Pune .

Dear Family,

Here we have a variety of news: America, Dharamshala,..... And I

found this file.. wonderful about Navaratri.. is it possible somebody

to recognize from when it is this talk.. Rabi, TOni, please, I don't

recall who send it.. maybe it was part of the various texts about

Navaratri days. However for me it came at the right moment...

Yours,

Ioana

Re: 9 Nights of worship to the Godess

Dear Siblings,

Jay Shri Mataji!

Since Pujas should happen in the full moon of each month (purnima,

isn'tit?) and Mother is making convenient for us and celebrating

pujas at

suitable weekends, there is another choice one can make for

Navaratri.

Mother will do the Puja of Victory in October 12th, the 10th day, so

in our local collective we'll begin the nine mini-pujas(mornings) and

nine

havans(nights) in October 3rd. (WOW, my " commentary " ) We've done this

for the last five or six years and we feel very happy and light after

that.

It's just another conception that works out.

Your brother,

Cyro.

2. Shri Mataji will arrive today's evening in USA, and the American

SYs will wait for Her and Sir CP at the airport. Jai Shri Mataji!!!!!

Thank you!!!!

3. From Bushan, India, very interesting quote from Koran (I

didn't " check " it because my Koran is still in Romania, so please,

confirm those that have it... ).

" Since America is typically represented by an eagle Saddam should

have read up on his Muslim passages...

The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible).

Koran (9:11) -- For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a

fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the

lands of Allah and lo,

while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for

the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was

peace.

Note the verse number! "

4. These news came on the Austrian net.. from Dara (Austria-USA)I am

happy to re-send them even I was cautions at the beginning because

I'm not very sure that the school likes to drive the attention on

their activities.. actually I am almost sure they don't, for very

obvious and good reasons......but from time to time it is really

necessary to share with everybody how SY " should be " and how the

children " can be " .. real leaders and full of initiative and sahaj

knowledge. As we all know whatever is done in the school is under

SHri Mataji's closest guidance...

I wonder when our children from " home " , will have this opportunity to

participate in such an active and conscious way to our sahaj life?!

But this depends on us, how much we invest in their sahaj potential

and in our real family's values... how much we are committed to face

ourselves and our sincere relationships one with another, one with

another's children, etc... Sorry, just sharing with you my heart...

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I have been here in the USA for almost 3 weeks visiting my family.

All the leaves are changing now and those blessed enough to attend

Shri Durga

Puja in New Jersey will be able to witness the beauty of the

changing seasons.

It will surely reflect the plumage of feathers adorning Shri

Krishna's crown!

As Navaratri begins today perhaps we can give our attention and

bandhans to this land where so many people cannot feel the greatness

of God in Her

Form.

All those with whom I have contact (good and educated peoples) only

mock George Bush and wish for his departure from the office he holds.

Perhaps

the tide will soon turn and the essence of Dharma and wisdom will

penetrate into the hearts of the American spirit and peoples. What a

wonder that the

America's will soon be given the weapons of Shri Durga!

I would imagine it would be amazing if so many Yogis from the Land of

Astra be there!

The vibrations here have been amazing these past few days and It

inspires one to write such words. Jai Shri Adi Shakti Shri Nirmala

Devi Namoh Namaha!

Love from Dara

P.S>Some things are too beautiful! Please enjoy another message from

ISPS!

Dear parents,

...it is worth mentioning that on 24 September 2003 we witnessed the

first snowfall in the Dhauladhar ranges of Himalayas during the year

2003.

With that the the monsoon has started receding and the nature at

Talnoo is welcoming the beautiful winter of the Himalayan region.

Against this changing background at ISPS a team of 50 students and

the Music and Dance Departments at the school are busy in giving the

finishing touch to the programs to be staged at Chandigarh Regional

Sahaja Yoga Seminar. The school has been invited with the students to

attend

this seminar. As an exposure to the world of yuvashakti in Sahaja

Yoga we are sending many students from the senior section. They shall

perform dances and quawwali.

Any school representation without the participation from the little

yogis and yoginis of the junior wing shall be incomplete. They are

also going to perform dramas and dances at the seminar.

Equally exciting is the shooting of documentary film on the ISPS by

Ville Tanttu and Maria Raski from Finland. This film will be offered

at

the lotus feet of our Holy Mother at Ganapatipule.

Tommorow is the first day of Navratri. At school we begin it by

Ghatasthapana. Hence their is a short pooja in the senior section.

Following 9 days will be observed as short poojas with a narration of

their importance in senior section. At the same time the juniors are

going to spend the evenings in stories of Shri Durga and the

qualities of Heart chakra necessary to be imbibed by the future

citizens of the world. These stories will be narrated by the

students themselves. Last year the stories were narrated by the

teachers in the junior section. Taking the advantage of blossoming

of the inner qualities of juniors this year we are marching forward

to the students' taking the leading role in festivals as organisers

and entertainers.

Warm regards,

Ms Mrinalini

Shri Ganesha Puja, ISPS, 2003.

The celebration began in the junior meditation hall with Aunty

Principal and many female staff members performing a small puja to

Shri Ganesha. Soon,

in the fresh morning sunlight the procession began. Class four girls

led the way with a spectacular stick-dance, followed by the drums

which made

collective the joyful beats of our hearts.

We walked, danced, clapped, joined arms and sang " Jai Ganesha " on

our way down the road past the glorious mountain view. At this moment

we

understood that Shri Ganesha is the giver of joy. As we stood outside

the senior meditation hall, still dancing and clapping to the beat of

the drum

there was a moment of realizing the strength and bond of our

international family.

We shared thoughts of our brothers and sisters in Cabella who had

performed Puja to Shri Mataji in the form of Shri Ganesha some hours

earlier.

Inside the meditation hall the backdrop to the altar was a painted

ocean of reds and browns with omkaras and swastikas merging in and

out and Shri

Ganesha looking over us from behind his Holy Mother. The stage was

filled with an abundance of full yellow sunflowers, befitting the

mood of this

joyful occasion. The hall was decorated with garlands of jeweled

elephants and mice, painted by the children. Once Puja began we lost

all sense of

time, immersed in the bliss of bhajan after bhajan, sung in full

devotion to Our Holy Mother in the form of Shri Ganesha. May we not

for a moment forget

the wisdom of his purity within us.

Jai Shri Mataji !! Jai Shri Ganesha !!
