Hi Matt,

i think the symbol " OM " is wrongly pictured above, rather

than in the Sahasrara where the seat of God-Almighty resides.

Probably OM looks better on top of the head, rather than inside, for

the sake of simple comprehension. Since the Sahasrara is the Kingdom

of God then there is where you will find OM i.e. within your own

being. According to Shri Mataji:

" The nature of the Spirit is that it is an universal being within

every individual. As there is one God Almighty His projection on

every human heart is the same, but the projection of the Spirit

varies because of the different types of projecters. When this

Spirit, which is the source of joy and truth, is connected through

the Kundalini the human attention becomes enlightened. Thus one

knows the absolute truth on our central nervous system and becomes a

joyous collective being. The spirit is projected in the heart but

the seat of God Almighty is above the fontanel bone area, above the

apex of the head.

After this living force of Kundalini is connected to the all

pervading Divine power within a human being, it starts developing

the spirituality of a person. One touches the spirituality within

oneself and grows into another dimension, the fourth one. Thus a

saintly and wise personality develops. This personality is the one

which is unfolding itself naturally, spontaneously (Sahaja), but

also, by knowing how to handle this all-pervading power through the

Knowledge of purity (Shuddha Vidya), one can evolve in a much faster

way into that new dimension.

Once the Spirit starts shining fully in one's attention one actually

becomes enlightened in the sense that one can see for oneself that

one becomes one's own guide, one becomes one's own master. Then you

don't need any guide, but you are the master of yourself. In the

past this process was limited to one or to very few persons but now

a phenomena to allow en-masse realisation was discovered about

twenty years ago. "

> And is the inner om sound = god realization?

>

According to Himalayan Academy the " mantram [mantra] Aum denotes God

as the Primal Sound. This sound can be heard as the sound of one's

own nerve system, and meditators and mystics hear it daily, like the

sound made by an electrical transformer or a swarm of bees, or a

thousand vinas playing in the distance. It is a strong, inner

experience, one that yogis hold with great reverence. The meditator

is taught to inwardly transform this sound into the inner light

which lights up ones' thoughts, and to bask in this blissful

consciousness of light. Pranava is also known as the sound of the

nadanadi sakti. Hearing it one draws near to God Consciousness. When

we are living in the lower chakras, or when the world too strongly

dominates our mind, this sound may, for a time, not be heard. But it

returns as awareness withdraws, as the mind becomes perfectly

quiescent, silent, still. Listen for this sound in your quietest

moments and you will learn to recognize it as a daily encounter with

the Divine that lives within all men, within all creatures, within

all existence. Aum Namasivaya! "

God Almighty (Brahmna) is absolute Silence. i believe that this

inner om sound is self-hypnosis, a self-delusion brought forth by

the endless, mesmerizing repetition of the word OM. According to

www.realization.org " some skeptics say that the humming heard by

experienced meditators is actually a form of self-induced epilepsy. "

Endless repetition is used effectively to dull the mind. In extreme

cases it can used to brainwash the young into religious retards. An

article by staff reporter Peter Fritsch of The Wall Street Journal

provides an excellent example how through repetition and rote-

learning of the Koran Islamic fanaticism is used to breed jihad

warriors:

" The battle for Arshad's heart and mind may be over, however. The

11-year-old, who doesn't offer his last name, rises each morning at

4 to pray and recite the Koran at the Central Martyrs madrasah in

the Pakistani capital, Islamabad. In his village near Peshawar,

there is no public school. His parents paid the equivalent of $2 a

month, a large sum in Pakistan, to put his older brother through a

private high school, but he has yet to find work years after

graduation, Arshad says.

" The madrasah is free " - and includes room and board - " so why waste

money in such a way? " he asks. Following typical madrasah rules, the

boy hasn't seen his parents in nine months and probably won't have

any contact with them for at least another few years.

Arshad has learned little about the modern world. A visitor asks him

whether a man has ever walked on the moon. " This isn't possible, "

the boy answers. What is two times two? Silence. Eager to impress,

though, he announces that dinosaurs exist: " The Jewish and American

infidels have created these beasts to devour Muslims. "

With Afghanistan largely in ruins, and the Taliban having

specifically decimated the country's schools, many Afghan refugee

children join Pakistani youngsters seeking education in Pakistan.

But Pakistan, the people, will spend only about 2% of its gross

national output on public education this year, one of the lowest

rates in the world, according to the United Nations Educational,

Scientific and Cultural Organization. Pakistan, as a matter of law,

promises children a free education, but in many places, public

schools starved for resources barely function.

The nation's hermetic madrasahs fill most of this enormous gap. They

are not only a potential source of future jihad warriors, but also a

bulwark against the evolution of secular institutions in business,

government and other areas. "

This indoctrination technique of constant repetition - whether

" Ram, Ram " , " Hari, Hari " or any other deity - is condemned by Shri

Mataji. I particularly remember this American Tour speech of 16th

Sept. 1983 blasting the false gurus and religious institutions who

make fools out of the ignorant masses. For the sake of keeping to

the essence of Matt's inquiry I have taken only three paragraphs of

a rather long talk at at C.G. Jung Society's Hall, New York, U.S.A:

" You just give somebody a name, go on repeating this name. Now they

give a name, repeat the name of ''Rama''. Now there is no

connection, you go on pressing on your sympathetic nervous system.

Now 'Rama'' could be a servant dead somewhere, he just enters into

you and you start jumping. You start jumping like a frog. Some

people came to my programme they were just jumping like a frog. So I

said " Why are you jumping like a frog'? They said, " Our guru said

when the Kundalini rises then you jump like a frog " . I said " Now are

you going to become a frog or an earthworm? "

Use your brains! That's the problem, you see, with all intelligence

when it comes to their evolution, to the

living process, they just don't want to use their brains. Whatever

these gurus tell them they are willing to

do and do whatever they like.

Like another guru (Sai Baba) is there who brings out diamonds this,

that from the air. It's all jugglery, it's absolutely jugglery. Now

what I'm saying, " what is the interest of God in diamonds, what is

His interest? Why would He give you diamonds? " You see diamonds

you can always go and buy from somewhere. But people don't think.

You know he's very popular, he's very popular with affluent people.

Why should they ask for diamonds? I can understand Indians but he's

not bothered about Indians so much. But he gave a diamond ring to a

gentleman who was a very, very rich man. So I said " Why did he give

you a diamond ring ? He should have given it to your driver. And if

he's such a diamond ring fellow, why doesn't he solve our problems

in India, our poverty, completely? " So this is what one has to

think openly, with open mind you can save all these people from

these cults and sects.

Now the best of part of it is that I'm also called as a sect, that's

the best part of it. From the year 1970 I'm the lone' person who's

been 'fighting and fighting' these people who have suffered from it,

I'm the person who has been telling everyone about them. Their

nature, what they have been, how they practice this, how they have

managed you, what has happened to you,-everything. Despite that, the

shallowness, or the naiveté we can say of the Western people, now

they call me also a sect. Now this is the limit! I said now to call

me as a sect would be something like calling Christ as Hitler. I

mean I can't understand how these two things can go together, a

person who has been fighting them alone. "

Yes, bliss (anand) may originate at other centres and spread to the

rest of the body but the primary source is the Sahasrara, the seat

of God Almighty. There are just too many quotes of Shri Mataji

regarding bliss and how it is relevant to God-realization. i leave

this to you, Matt, to judge for yourself this subtle knowledge and

daily experience that religious masses, blindly following ignorant

priests and pandits, know nothing about. Only those who seek God

within themselves will comprehend the following quotes of Shri

Mataji on bliss and its relationship to self-realization and God

Almighty:

" Now in English language there are no names given to joys, there is

only one word joy and I find it sometimes difficult to describe the

different kinds of joy that you can have at different levels of our

evolution. But when you get to your Sahasrara the joy is called

Nirananda. Now " Nira " is my name, you know that.

" Ananda " means " joy " . " Nira " means that there is nothing else but

joy. There is complete joy, no reaction,

nothing - just submerged in joy. "

Shri Mataji

" Paramatma is the enjoyer, and therefore all should desire Him.

We should enjoy the God, who is the enjoyer of every thing. If we

start enjoying Him, what else do we need to enjoy? We should enjoy

His bliss. What is God's creation? What a beautiful world He has

made? How many things He has given to us? Now we have become Sahaja

yogis, God has given this shakti in us; now we can know our Atma,

and can recognise the Spirit in others. How much unending grace God

is showering on us? - with these thoughts you should grow in inner

happiness. If you start enjoying the God like this, then you will

find that your heart is growing and still more growing and you feel

as if it is encompassing entire creation. "

Shri Mataji

" When this Kundalini rises it connects you to the all-pervading

power, which is vital and which is an ocean of knowledge as well as

an ocean of bliss. After the awakening of Kundalini, you experience

many coincidence, which are miraculous and extremely blissful. "

Shri Mataji

" Once we are connected with that force, it protects us. This

divine power is the ocean of knowledge, is the ocean of miracles,

the ocean of bliss and the ocean of love, it is the ocean of

compassion, but above all, it is the ocean of forgiveness. "

Shri Mataji

" So, you come to a stage where you develop this 'Niranand'.

And, this 'Niranand' you develop when you are absolutely the Spirit.

In 'Niranand' state there's no duality left-is Adwaita, (without

duality), is one personality. That is, you are completely integrated

and the joy is not anymore dented - it's complete. It hasn't got

happiness and a sorrow aspect, but is just Joy. The Joy is not that

you laugh loud, the Joy is not that you are always smiling. No. Is

the stillness, the quietude within your Self, the peace, of your

being, of your Spirit, that asserts itself into vibrations which you

feel, that when you feel that peace, you feel like light of the sun,

the whole rays of that beauty spreading.''

Shri Mataji

" The world needs people who have been bestowed with this peaceful,

blissful joy in their hearts, who, later on, make others the same

way and form a planned or organised society, or a group, or a new

race, which enjoys this peaceful state of being. In this peaceful

state we are not running away from the society, we are not

denouncing anybody, but we are now like a baked pot which cannot

absorb any marks on it any more because it is fully baked.

So we become very mature people of awareness which cannot be dented,

which cannot be spoiled, which cannot be tarnished by any other

negative force. Thus, the establishment of global peace can only

come through people who have achieved this state in modern times

which is very special and I call it a blossom time. In the Bible, it

is described as the Last Judgement, also in the Koran it is called

as Qiyamah (the resurrection time). Otherwise, it is artificial to

believe that human beings forming a group or an organisation that

can create this global peace. The time has come for many people to

get their Self-Realisation and I'm sure the day will come when these

newly born, in the realm of Divine love, will spread peace and also

create global peace. "

Shri Mataji
