Man jailed for 'record' child porn

 

More than 400,000 images were found on Perrie's computer

A man has been jailed for two years after being caught with what is

thought to be the largest haul of child pornography ever found in

Scotland.

 

Steven Perrie, from Falkirk, had more than 403,000 indecent images

and almost 16,000 video clips on his computer. ...

 

" Some may believe that the viewing of child pornographic images is a

victimless crime.

 

" Nothing could be further from the truth. As this case demonstrated,

the children are real, the abuse is real and the destructive effect

on young lives is real. "

 

Officers involved in the investigation found it to be extremely

upsetting and harrowing at times, he added.

Five Saudi agents die in gunfight

 

Five security service agents have been killed and two others injured

after a shootout in the Saudi capital Riyadh.

The Interior Ministry said one alleged militant and other suspects

were detained in the raid, in which a sixth person was also killed.

 

It was carried out after authorities got a tip-off that a wanted

militant was hiding in a villa.

 

The agents are thought to have come under fire while approaching the

house with the man's father.

Suicide attack on Jerusalem bus

 

At least 10 people have been killed in a suicide bomb attack on a

bus in west Jerusalem, along with the bomber.

Dozens were also injured in the blast which was detonated not far

from Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's residence.

 

Mr Sharon was not there at the time, but in an early response he

cancelled a meeting with donor countries that had been meant to ease

conditions for the Palestinians.

 

The blast coincided with a complicated prisoner swap between Israel

and Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, including hundreds of

Palestinian militants.
