I am in the early stages of writing a thesis/book on 'Visions of the Goddess' (my supervisor prefers Divine Feminine) which will cover visions of the Devi, visions of the Shekhinah, and visions of Sophia. As it happens, my research on Divine Wisdom/Sophia is reasonably comprehensive and thus it is this chapter that gets written first! As to the synthesis you mention, this has been done in considerable detail by Dan Costian in the new edition of his 'Bible Enlightened: religions and yoga'. At over 1000 pages its a major contribution to enlightened historiography (alas no index). Essential reading! John
