Guest guest
For the benefit of those who do not know anything about me, I am a Sahajist-Buddhist based in the UK. I presume to style myself a Sahajist because under the inspiration of Sri Nirmala Devi in her Divine Form, I have had and continue to have some small experience of the rising of the Kundalini through the Sahasrara chakra and of the accompanying liberation into the Braham-viharas. In posting 1535, my friend Furat, whom I believe is a sincere practitioner and a wise and compassionate man, says this: > Jagbirji, > > Of course I would like to know what surah that is, and I would also > definitely make use of it to the maximum possible. Neither do I > doubt for one moment that many there are who are pure hypocrites. > > But this IS the point. Try to understand this: the reason why it is > almost useless to talk of such issues with unrealised people is > simply because most believers in God are not sincere about their > faith. As Shri Mataji explains, you could be Hindu, Muslim, > Christian and yet commit sin. Not only that, they would also easily > abandon their religion at any time there is a change in the > circumstances, as indeed happened on the territory of the Soviet > Union upon the October Revolution. They would even easily jump from > one nonsense to another, but do their best to avoid facing > themselves or taking up something truly serious. The only ones, who > really kept on to their faiths and even suffered persecution > because of that, were the Sufis and the Cabbalists. I would like to share with you all a few reflections on this. There are many religions in the world, many spiritual groups, and all sincere adherents of these groups, who are men and women like you and me, believe their own religion, their own spiritual brotherhood or sisterhood to be true in all respects. But they cannot all be true in every respect, because although many of these religions and spiritual groups agree in some respects, in other respects they differ and even disagree, even with regard to some of their fundamental or basic beliefs, basic axioms. Therefore, who but Divinity, who but He or She Who Knows, can tell who and what is true and right, and what is falsehood? The Knowledge we are speaking of here is of course Spiritual Knowledge, not mere worldly knowledge. And the Wise, those who Know, those who have Spiritual Knowledge are those who open themselves in prayer, in meditation or in Sahaja-yoga to whatever or whoever is Divine in the Cosmos. The spiritual hypocrite, therefore, is one who, though professing himself or herself to be religious, makes no effort to open themselves to the Divine, no effort to develop spiritually, no effort to purify themselves ethically, no effort to develop wisdom or gnosis, no effort to manifest compassion for all living beings, no effort to practice generosity and to help others, no effort to become a better human being. Such a hypocryte, unfortunately, far from going to Heaven, to the Sublime Abodes - either in this lifetime or the next - will dwell in one of the many and various hells for a long time, until such time as a compassionate human being introduces them to the path of Faith, Spiritual practice and Good Works, which alone lead to the Gates of the Eternal. may all blessings be yours, may all Gods protect you, Ashvajit _________________________ All that lives is Holy (William Blake)
