" Today is a very important day in our lives as Sahaja Yogis. This

is the day when Sahasrara was opened out which was really a very

charismatic thing that happened. I never expected that in my lifetime

that I would be able to work it out. It has been and so many of you

have got your Sahasrara opened. Without that you could never have

known what is the truth. You were all lost, as everybody is.

 

First of all Sahasrara is the only way we can perceive, understand

and know the reality. You have come to know as to what is the reality

and you are enjoying that state where you know what is the reality.

It's a great blessing that Sahasrara was opened out and all of you

got your realisation. Otherwise all talks are just talks, has no

meaning, has no understanding and that's why my first anxiety was to

open Sahasrara. That worked out, worked out well and all of you have

got your Sahasrara opened. It's a remarkable thing. Nobody can

believe that so many of you have got your Sahasrara opened, but I can

see now clearly the light on top of your heads.

 

Whatever you have achieved is remarkable, no doubt. It is because of

honest searching, honest searching that you have got it. My being is

nothing because you are just there only like a lamp and I just

enlightened it, that's all. It's not such a big thing to do as you

people have achieved your state, state of enlightenment that you've

got it because you were hankering after it, working it out and you

did it. It's very creditable, creditable more to me, I think because

I had opened Sahasrara, but to achieve that in you people was so joy-

giving for me.

 

Now you will understand because if Sahasrara is not opened you can't

talk to people, you can't say anything to them. It's just they don't

understand. With the Sahasrara opened your understanding improved so

much. That is what has happened with all of you and I am so very

happy that in so many people there are sitting here who have got

their Sahasraras opened and there are many who have not come. So it's

a big achievement for human beings to get it so much collectively

Sahasrara opened by which you know the truth, absolute truth.

Whatever you know after your realisation is the absolute truth. You

don't argue then, don't question, you just know it and you accept it

as a knowledge. It's such a nice thing that it was all there but it

was not opened. And when it opened out how people have understood me

and also the laws of the Divine.

 

It's such a blessing of the Divine that you have got your Sahasrara

opened out for which you may say 'We didn't do anything Mother'. It's

not so. Your search for truth was intense and definite. You wanted to

know the truth, that's why it has worked out. Otherwise no amount of

money, no amount of effort, nothing would have helped, Sahasrara had

to open by itself. It's all your building up I should say, it's all

your doing, yourself that has brought forth such a beautiful

happening. I do not take any credit for that, at all. Definitely I

must say that I have made you understand that it's important that

your Sahasrara should be opened.

 

No more arguments, no more suggestions, nothing, but have your own

Sahasrara opened which tells you what is the truth is. In these

beautiful circumstances what could your Mother say. I can only say

that continue to live a life of reality, of understanding. In

everything you will find there is truth and how do we use that truth

is our own achievement.

 

People are lost because they have no knowledge. Knowledge from the

books is no knowledge. Their knowledge must come from within from

within themselves and that has happened because of Sahasrara opening.

In all the countries it has happened and it will be in the whole

world. So many people will get realisation.

 

But only thing I feel that you people should have no emotional

attachment to it. Not emotional but realistic attachment that it is

there, it has happened, it's working out. Then you will be able to

give realisation to others. You'll understand the importance of

realisation. Unless and until you use it, you won't know what is the

power of realisation is. So you must learn how to use this power

which is within you, which has started working out and which will

give you such an immense capacity.

 

My health is little bit gone down, after all I'm very old, but still

I don't feel tired in any way while addressing you I feel so

enamoured that there are so many Sahaja Yogis, so many whose

Sahasrara is opened, and they're enjoying their Sahasrara.

 

Actually I would have liked you to ask me questions, but you can

write questions and send me written ones, then I'll try to answer

them sometime, will be a much better idea.

" When it comes to the subject of the Kingdom of God there seems to be

no end to the carnal minded reasoning of man as to what it is, where

it is and how it will come to pass. For many there is a long held

belief that, any minute, Jesus will appear in the sky to take away

(rapture) those who are saved and bring them into heaven to enjoy the

Kingdom of God. The " end time " means the destruction of this

universe and all wicked people and the establishing of a new world in

some far away oasis called, " heaven. " Still others believe that God's

Kingdom will come as a result of Christians becoming politically

active and getting elected to office and ruling the earth through the

power of outward government.

 

Things have not changed much in the thinking of God's people in the

two thousand years since Jesus Christ came. At that time the people

of Israel were also waiting for the Kingdom to appear and when Jesus

came declaring that the " kingdom was at hand " they could not

understand what he was talking about.

 

One of the more profound statements of Jesus was given when he was

demanded of the Pharisees to tell them when the Kingdom of God would

come. To this Jesus answered that, " the Kingdom of God cometh not

with observation. " Luke 17:20

 

To this day the people of God are told to expect an outward physical

appearance of Christ's Kingdom and yet here is the clear and perfect

answer given by our Lord concerning this " The Kingdom of God is

within you. " Luke 17:21

 

Jesus told Pontius Pilate that, " My Kingdom is not of this world. " "

" The most important thing for a Muslim (a person who has

surrendered his will to the will of God) is that he should try to

achieve or attain his `MERAJ' or ASCENT. Unfortunately, this

achieving of one's ascent has been completely sidelined by

Muslims. They are more involved in superficial things, erroneously

believing them to be very spiritual. For example, trying to earn

SAWABS (MERIT), arguing how long their beard should be or how they

should stand and where their hands should be during SALAH (NAMAZ),

the five obligatory prayers a Muslim must perform daily. They have

become fanatical, trying to convert the whole world to Islam when

they themselves have lost the true meaning of it. Prophet Mohammed

said, " Salah is the Meraj for the believer,' meaning, that if

performed properly, this Salah or prayer (in fact, it is meant to be

meditation) will ultimately lead you to your Meraj or Ascent.

 

It is only after getting self-realization, which happens

spontaneously in Sahaja Yoga, that one understands Islam correctly

and experiences ASCENT/MERAJ.

 

The Quran and the Hadith speak specifically about Meraj.

 

In the first chapter of the Quran, `SURAH FATIHAH,, which means

the opening chapter (a Muslim recites this 48 times during his/her

obligatory prayers), it says:

 

`EIH DEENAS SIRAT AL MUSTAKEEM

SIRAT AL LADEENA ANA AMTA ALAIHIM

GAIRIL MAGDUBI ALAIHIM WALAD DUA'A LIN'

 

Which means:

 

SHOW US THE STRAIGHT PATH

THE PATH ON WHICH YOU HAVE BESTOWED YOUR FAVOURS

NOT OF THOSE WHO HAVE INCURRED YOUR WRATH AND HAVE GONE ASTRAY

 

Al-Quran, Chapter-1, Verses 6-7.

 

It clearly states that we have to be on the straight path where God

bestows His favours. The diagram of a yogi in meditation clearly

shows the left, right and center channels. It is on the central

channel, called in Yoga the Sushumna Nadi (Sirat al Mustakeem), that

all the Chakras (spiritual centers) are situated. Once enlightened by

the awakening of the Kundalini, you get your ascent. Then all the

favours of God Almighty are bestowed upon you. When this awakening

takes place a person becomes his or her own Master or Guru, making it

difficult to go astray and hence incur " God's wrath. "

 

In the Hadith, Prophet Mohammed said that one has to walk on the

central path and not to go to the right or to the left. This means

that one has to be not only in balance but must maintain it. Being in

balance is well understood by Sahaja Yogis. Two channels, the right

and the left, are from where our desires and actions arise. When

these desires or actions dominate, a person becomes unbalanced and

loses control. This imbalance causes a lot of disturbance. A person,

who is in the central channel, is not dominated by desires or actions

but surrenders everything to God. They firmly believe that God takes

care of everything. By staying in the center they are not disturbed

by the many things happening in today's hectic and stressful

world. This is only possible when one has surrendered to God

completely. This is why Prophet Mohammed has told his followers to be

in the center balance. "

Breath shall come in power, lo,

There are a multitude of things yet to be said; Things that this age

cannot receive because it cannot comprehend.

" The central theme of the preaching of Shri Jesus is the Kingdom

of God (Matt. 4:17, 23; Mark 1:15; Luke 4:43). There are some fifty

sayings and parables of Shri Jesus proclaiming this kingdom. There

are two main elements of this concept — it is eschatological and

refers to the end of time when God will be firmly established in the

universe to vindicate the righteous; it extols His followers to

prepare themselves for its coming (Luke 10:25-28), which requires

repentance (Matt. 4:17; Mark 1:15), and a complete change of heart

required to receive this future good news or gospel. "

" So according to the Gospel of Thomas, Jesus ridiculed those who

thought of the " Kingdom of God " in literal terms, as if it were a

specific place: " If those who lead you say to you, `Look, the

Kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds will arrive there before

you. If they say to you, `It is in the sea,' " then, he says,

the fish will arrive before you. Instead, it is a state of self-

discovery:

 

" . . . Rather, the Kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of

you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will be known, and

you will realize that you are the sons of the living Father. But if

you will now know yourselves, then dwell in poverty, and it is you

who are that poverty. "

 

But the disciples, mistaking the " Kingdom " for a future event,

persisted in their questioning:His disciples said to him, " When

will . . . the new world come? He said to them, " What you look

forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it.. " . . His

disciples said to him, " When will the Kingdom come? " (Jesus

said,) " It will not come by waiting for it. It will not be a matter

of saying `Here it is' or `There it is.' Rather, the

Kingdom of the Father is spread out upon the earth, and men do not

see it. "

 

That " Kingdom, " then, symbolizes a state of transformed

consciousness:

 

Jesus saw infants being suckled. He said to his disciples, " These

infants being suckled are like those who enter the Kingdom. " They

said to him, " Shall we, then, as children, enter the kingdom? " Jesus

said to them, " When you make the two one, and when you make the

inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the

above like the below, and when you make the male and female one and

the same . . . then you will enter [the Kingdom]. "

 

Yet what the " living Jesus " of Thomas rejects as naïve — the

idea that the Kingdom of God is an actual event expected in history

— is the notion of the Kingdom that the synoptic gospels of the

New Testament most often attribute to Jesus as his teaching.

According to Matthew, Luke, and Mark, Jesus proclaimed the coming

Kingdom of God, when captives shall gain their freedom, when the

diseased shall recover, the oppressed shall be released, and harmony

shall prevail over the whole world. Marks says that the disciples

expected the Kingdom to come as a cataclysmic event in their own

lifetime, since Jesus had said that some of them would live to

see " the Kingdom of God come with power. " Before his arrest, Mark

says, Jesus warned that although " the end is not yet, " they must

expect it any time. All three gospels insist that the Kingdom will

come in the near future (though they also contain many passages

indicating that it is here already.) Luke makes Jesus say

explicitly " the kingdom of God is within you. " Some gnostic

Christians, extending that type of interpretation, expected human

liberation to occur not through actual events in history, but through

internal transformation. "

" This whole process can be summarized by one of the sayings from

the gnostic Gospel of Thomas: `if you bring forth what is within

you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth

what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy

you.' The gnostics believed that exploring the psyche is a

religious task: that ignorance, not sin, leads to suffering: that

most people live in oblivion and therefore have no real fulfilment.

It is necessary for human beings and the human race to work through

the darkness within and without in order to become truly themselves.

In the Gospel of Thomas, Jesus scorned those who thought that the

Kingdom of God is in a particular place, like heaven in the sky —

he reckoned that if you thought that, the birds would get there

before you: Rather, the Kingdom of God is inside of you and it is

outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will be

known, and you will realise that you are the sons of the living

Father. But if you will not know yourselves, then you dwell in

poverty, and it is you who are that poverty. . . . "

" Kingdom of God

 

According to the New Testament, the central message of Jesus was the

kingdom of God. He called for repentance in preparation for the

kingdom that was " at hand. " The kingdom of God referred to the reign

or rule of God, and in Jesus' ministry that reign of God was

announced as present. The presence of the kingdom, however, was not

full and complete, and, therefore, was often referred to as a future

event. Students of the New Testament have argued over whether Jesus

and his followers expected the kingdom of God to be fully present in

their generation. The unresolved state of that debate is registered

in the two expressions often used to characterize the New Testament

teaching about the kingdom: " already " and " not yet. "
