Dear Brothers & Sisters,

This is how it went.

We arrived at Sanjaan station and from there proceeded

to Nargol, which is about twenty minutes by road from

the railway station. The collectivity was housed in a

Parsi Association Guest House which is located right

there where Shri Mataji first opened the Sahasrara

first in 1970.

As soon as we arrived at the Railway station and

climbed the bridge, I could feel the vibrations

coursing through every pore of my being, clearing away

my insides of the tiredness associated with the whole

night’s work in office before.

As we arrived, we freshened up and then after taking

note of the schedule, I went to the sea beach, which

is a stone’s throw from where we were standing.

Now, waterfronts are always special and unique places

for me and this one was even more special because of

its spiritual significance. And I was right there on

the ocean, with no one around me, maybe just three or

four people in the stretch of half a kilometre on

either side from where I was standing.

Mother says that the Ocean is our Father, and we have

to respect Him. And, there I was, standing in front of

our Father watching in awe and respect.

And there He was, in His full glory and magnificence,

with His arms extending as far as one could see, with

the strength of a thousand volcanoes and with the calm

of a million moons.

The moment was so unique, so peaceful and so

awe-inspiring and the vibrations were so sweet and

loving that I felt that my outer shell has vanished

and I was not the flesh and blood that we are, but I

was only the spirit – an ansh (part) of the

Parmeshwar, a beloved son of God Almighty. I felt

elevated three feet above the water. I closed my eyes,

and the vibrations flowed through each and every pore

of my physical self, elevating me to the state of

Nirvicharita and I let the vibrations take me wherever

they wanted. I floated through endless galaxies and

many a million miles, before the cool and soothing

water lapping away at my feet on the sand brought me

back to my senses, where I was.

It was so beautiful that I cannot tell, I cannot

describe. And, I felt the love of our Father

surrounding me, enveloping me from all four

directions. And, overwhelmed, I said, “Father, here I

am, your beloved son, in front of you. Aren’t you glad

to see me?”

And in reply the little waterfronts continued to wash

on the shore and lap away at my feet.

This continued for maybe three or four minutes, and I

could feel the clearing taking place, as we all know

that you can foot soak when on an oceanfront.

And, I kept on talking with my Father all the time, “I

am so glad to see you, and it is so peaceful here, I

wish all the Sahaji brethen were here. How beautiful

it would be”

And the waves and the foam continued to wash ashore.

I could’ve sat there forever, and all of a sudden I

was envious of all those who stayed near to the rivers

and seas – Sahajis or non-Sahajis.

But then all of a sudden, the waves started coming in

fast and strong. And the water breaking on the shore

started pushing me back, forcing me back by two or

three inches from where I was standing.

I said, “ Father, why do you want me to go? It is not

even a quarter of an hour I have been with you. Aren’t

you happy that I am here? Why do you push me away?”

And there were tears in my eyes.

But, He wouldn’t listen, He wouldn’t consider. The

water still started coming in fast and furious, and I

was again pushed back three inches, and I could feel

him in the Nirakaar (formless) telling me in my

Sahasrara, “Go, Go, Go”.

Sadly, I said, “All right, if that is what You wish.”

And, with a prayer of gratitude and a Pranaam from the

bottom of my heart, I turned around.

And I was walking through the small trees there on the

shore, back to the guesthouse, when a fellow Sahaji

told me, ”Do you wish to see the tree where it all

started? The place where Shri Mataji opened the

Sahasrara first in 1970?”

I said, “Yes” and went along with him.

The tree was right there, as it was, 34 years ago, the

place where the resurgence started, the place where

the light of the Spirit was first awakened in our

mortal shells, the starting of Kritayuga, the place

where the Super-consciousness first descended on this

planet.

And, it was another over whelming spectacle, an

occasion which left me speechless, overawed by the

enormity, the love and yet the simplicity of the

place.

The tree is cemented at the bottom, in the form of a

square, in order to preserve it. You can feel the cool

breeze even in the noon sun.

Next to this tree close by is another tree where the

Sahaji brethen had last year tied a scarf with the

words “Jai Shri Mataji” after taking out a small

procession.

I went and sat there for some time.

And before I know I had dozed off. I could feel the

vibrations clearing my subtle system while I slept,

and I could feel myself being refreshed in mind, body

and spirit.

I got up an hour later and went back to the guesthouse

in order to prepare for the evening’s programme and

Puja.

First there was a small collective meeting where

general things were discussed.

Then there was a Hawan there in the evening, when the

108 names of Shri Mataji were taken and we meditated

in the Sahasrara.

The vibrations were as always, beautiful and soothing.

Then after dinner, Sahaji brother Deepak Verma (who is

a singer) held the stage with beautiful beautiful

bhajans, which were as comforting as they can get.

“Jaago Savera Aaya Hai”, “Jaago He Jagdambe Jaago He

Jwala”, “Shri Jagdambe Aayi Re Meri Nirmal Maa”,

“Haasat Aali Nirmal Aayi” were all sung by everyone in

collectivity and a few of the brothers and sisters

danced in front of Mother with abandon and joy.

The organisers had rented rooms of the hostel of the

Parsi association for staying overnight, but half of

the Sahajis took cloth sheets and went and slept

beneath the tree where it all started !!!

And, the other half, slept in the tent, which was

bound to host the programme and the Puja !!!

DAY 2

The next day in the morning we got up early at six for

morning meditation. And immediately after the Bandhan,

balancing of left, right & centre and the morning

Dhyana, all Sahaji brethen got together and took a

pole on which was tied a saffron scarf which has “Jai

Shri Mataji” written on it. The entire collectivity

was there, and there were Nirmal Bhajans from

everyone’s lips.

Shri Radha-Krishna Sakshaat floated through our

Vishuddhis and everyone was singing effortlessly in

unison with the “Jai Jai’s“ of Shri Mataji.

The collectivity took the pole to the cemented tree.

And there a Sahaji bhai climbed up the tree and tied

the scarf and the pole.

All the while everyone was singing in unison

The brothers and sisters danced in unison around the

tree, with the sheer joy of being Nirmal, of being

Nishkalank, all in the love of our beloved Mother.

Mother says that when you are in Sahaj, you are not

the mind, the body, the flesh, the blood, but you are

the Spirit – the purest form of God Almighty.

That which cannot be cleaved, that which cannot be

burnt, that which cannot be destroyed.

And that which cannot be tainted

The Spirit is Nirmal.

And so are you all.

You are the Moon without the blemish in it.

Each one of you is Nishkalank (spotless).

The greatest joy on this planet besides being a Sahaji

is to be proclaimed Nishkalank (spotless) by our

beloved Mother, by the Primordial Being, by the

Viraat, by the Adishakti, by the Holy Spirit – H. H.

Mataji Nirmala Devi.

It was dances with angels, dances with the divine.

It was awesome. I wish you were there.

After meditating there in peace beneath the tree, we

all went to the seashore, the entire collectivity.

And, there all of us did balancing in the water,

barefoot, in the meanwhile praying to our Mother and

to our Father in Heaven.

Some of us put our first fingers in the ears and

chanted “Allah – O – Akbar”

And all of us just enjoyed the atmosphere.

Going back we had breakfast and lots of lots of Tea.

And, then we all got ready for the Puja.

“Gaaiye Ganapati Jag vandan, Shankar Suwan Bhavani

Nandan ……..”

“Riddhi Siddhi Gaj wadan Manohar ………….”

Vibrations vibrations everywhere…….

Through the Ida, through the Pingala, through the

Sushumna ..

From Mooladhara to Sahasrara …

Through the Bhavsagara, through the Anahad, the three

Vishuddhis and the Agnya..

Sat Chit Anand - only in Sahaj.

The love of God Almighty – only in Sahaj.

Moksha – only in Sahaj.

The Divine – only in Sahaj.

At the end of it all the state leaders told us that

everyone can and should come back to Nargol in a group

of 15-20 atleast once a month.

There is provision for accommodation and food, which

is very very affordable.

You can bring photos of Mother, light candles beneath

the tree, and do Dhyana.

But to do a Puja there, (i.e. collection of money and

like, whenever the Pujas happen at our centres) is not

allowed.

That is against protocol.

Otherwise, for Dhyana and for meditation, there are no

restrictions.

We, from Gujarat, do have a Shuddh Iccha to go there

again.

Let’s see when it materialises.

From India, I send you pure love.

May Mother Bless Us All.

Regards,

Coolmale

Rajanji,

i really enjoyed reading your excellent description of your moving

experience at the sacred seashore where Shri Mataji opened the

Sahasrara Chakra on 5th. May 1970. Far in the future Nargol will

become a cherished pilgrimage for millions, a spiritual Mecca for all

seeking moksa and wishing to pay homage to the Maha-Devi who devoted

Her life so that humans will have faith to look up at the heavens

again, and discover the deepest secrets of the Eternal Religion.

The best quote IMO is your original description of the fatherly

Ocean: " And there He was, in His full glory and magnificence, with

His arms extending as far as one could see, with the strength of a

thousand volcanoes and with the calm of a million moons. " This came

in just as a Discovery documentary on volcanoes confirmed that an

average eruption equals 500 atomic bombs. That power of nature is

truly immense and overwhelming. i am sure i will now better

appreciate the nearby Saint-Lawrence ....... and with more

humility.

You also made me feel the difference between a spiritual person and a

religious one, the distinction between a SY and a spiritual one, the

disparity between the wholesome mystical wheat and the useless

priestly chaff. It has reinforced my faith that SYs who are given the

honest truth and knowledge, unlike those stuck at the subtle system

level, are truly in a unique position to enlighten humanity and make

great strides to spread Sahaja Yoga. They will be the future ganas,

so rare and difficult to find at present.

For someone 'new' to SY you certainly have displayed an uncommon

depth and maturity. That is why myself, like Balwinder and others,

laugh at SYs who measure enlightenment by the years spent in Sahaja

Yoga. Unfortunately, by 'enlightenment' they mean knowledge of

chakras and their intricate treatments.

So continue seeking the wholesome mystical wheat and leave the

useless priestly chaff. Learn to be a SY of the highest order by

becoming your own master. As Shri Mataji has said: " There is nothing

to look outside. " These are simple words with a deep mystical

meaning.

Thank you Batraji for the wonderfuly description of your experience

at Nargol. It indeed enlightens us(especially the newcomers) and

reinforces(to those who recognise who Shree Mataji really is) in us

as to the great powers of AdiShakti and Mother Earth and you spoke

from the heart which made it so enjoyable.

You have managed in a single post to impress in my mind(and am sure

to a lot of other SYogi/nis) that the next trip to India must have

Nargol as the place of longest stay.

It also again shows that there is much more joy/bliss/enlightenment

awaiting SYogi/nis who continue in their progress in SYoga.

" Jesus' kingdom was not like the popular expectation. He used the

phrase " kingdom of God " with a different meaning. His kingdom was not

of this world (John 18:36). It was not like the kingdoms of this

world. It was the kingdom of God, a supernatural kingdom. It was

invisible to most people (John 3:3)—it could not be understood or

experienced without the Holy Spirit (v. 6). God is Spirit, and the

kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom. "

Tom Harpur, Life after Death, McClelland & Stewart Inc., 1991, p.114

Undiscerning men, theologians preoccupied with scriptural lore,

Who claim there is nothing else, utter words with ephemeral results.

Their words promise better births through cultic acts,

Dwell at length on various rites, and aim at pleasure and power.

These men are full of desire, zealous for heaven.

They cling to pleasures and power and are fooled by their own

discourses.

They have no knowledge consisting in commitment, fixed in

concentration.

The Scriptures speak to the world's weave of integrity, passion,

and sloth.

Transcend it, Arjuna, free from opposites, forever in integrity,

Detached from things, in command of yourself.

All the Scriptures mean as much — no more, no less — to the

discerning spiritual man, as a water tank in a universal flood.

Bhagavad Gita 2:42-46

" The finde siécle: the ending of any century invariably brings

with it a rash of Doomsday prophecies, confusion, hysteria and the

whole set of apocalyptic and new age prophecies. The end of this

century, however, is also the end of the magical seventh millennium,

the last thousand years of our known history. This raises the tension

and expectation even higher. Astrologically we are at the changeover

point from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius, and in terms of

the clairvoyants, this also marks the five hundred year psychic

cycle, when there is supposedly a marked change of consciousness

planet-wide. . . .

The solar system also has its own cycle in which five planets align

with Earth, on the other side of the sun, to play a tug of war with

the planet. This is due on May 5th in the year 2000 and no one knows

what catastrophes could happen when the new gravitational forces act

upon the already delicately balanced rotational axis of planet

Earth. "

Yatri, Unknown Man

" Religious truth is not absolute but relative, that Divine Revelation

is continuous and progressive, that the Founders of all past

religions, though different in the non-essential aspects of their

teachings, 'abide in the same Tabernacle, soar in the same heaven,

are seated upon the same Throne, utter the same speech and proclaim

the same Faith.' His Cause, they have already demonstrated, stands

identified with, and revolves around, the principle of the organic

unity of mankind as representing the consummation of the whole

process of human evolution. This final stage in this stupendous

evolution, they assert, is not only necessary but inevitable, that it

is gradually approaching, and that nothing short of the celestial

potency with which a divinely ordained Message can claim to be

endowed can succeed in establishing it. "

Shoghi Effendi, Selected Writings of Shoghi Effendi

" When it comes to the subject of the Kingdom of God there seems to be

no end to the carnal minded reasoning of man as to what it is, where

it is and how it will come to pass. For many there is a long held

belief that, any minute, Jesus will appear in the sky to take away

(rapture) those who are saved and bring them into heaven to enjoy the

Kingdom of God. The " end time " means the destruction of this

universe and all wicked people and the establishing of a new world in

some far away oasis called, " heaven. " Still others believe that God's

Kingdom will come as a result of Christians becoming politically

active and getting elected to office and ruling the earth through the

power of outward government.

Things have not changed much in the thinking of God's people in the

two thousand years since Jesus Christ came. At that time the people

of Israel were also waiting for the Kingdom to appear and when Jesus

came declaring that the " kingdom was at hand " they could not

understand what he was talking about.

One of the more profound statements of Jesus was given when he was

demanded of the Pharisees to tell them when the Kingdom of God would

come. To this Jesus answered that, " the Kingdom of God cometh not

with observation. " Luke 17:20

To this day the people of God are told to expect an outward physical

appearance of Christ's Kingdom and yet here is the clear and perfect

answer given by our Lord concerning this " The Kingdom of God is

within you. " Luke 17:21

Jesus told Pontius Pilate that, " My Kingdom is not of this world. " "

" As soon as the Sahasrara was opened the whole atmosphere was filled

with tremendous Chaitanya. And there was tremendous Light in the sky.

And the whole thing came on the Earth — as if a torrential rain

or a waterfall — with such tremendous force, as if I was unaware

and got stupefied. The happening was so tremendous and so unexpected

that I was stunned and totally silent at the grandeur.

I saw the Primordial Kundalini rising like a big furnace, and the

furnace was very silent but a burning appearance it had, as if you

heat up metal, and it had many colors. In the same way, the Kundalini

showed up as a furnace, like a tunnel, as you see these plants you

have here for coal burning that create electricity. And it stretched

like a telescope and came out one after another, Shoo! Shoo! Shoo!

Just like that.

And the Deities came and sat on their seats, golden seats, and then

they lifted the whole of the head like a big dome and opened it, and

then this torrential rain complete drenched Me. I started seeing all

that and got lost in the Joy. It was like an artist seeing his own

creation, and I felt the Joy of great fulfillment.

After coming out of this beautiful experience I looked around and saw

human beings so blind and I became absolutely silent, and desired

that I should get the cups to fill the Nectar . . . "

Shri Niskala Devi

Opening Of The Primordial Sahasrara

Sahasrara Puja, Paris, France — May 5, 1982

Niskala [140th]: Indivisible — Complete

" Today we are celebrating the opening of the Sahasrara. On this

day I must say it was a Great Happening that took place on all the

humanity. It was such an achievement, which I never realized before.

Now I can see that without Self-Realization it would have been

impossible to talk to people.

Then this happened! I thought that how I will talk to people about it

because no one would understand Me and it would be a big mistake on

My part to say something about Sahasrara because even about Sahasrara

nowhere in the scriptures something was described. It was absolutely

an ambiguous description I would say where people could not even have

thought there is a realm beyond Sahasrara, and one has to enter that

realm where is the Reality.

That time what I saw around Me was darkness and unless and until

there are many Lights, people will never realize that how important

it is to have Light. "

Shri Puratana Devi

Puratana (801st): Primordial or Ancient.

" Today is a great day for us, for all the Sahaja Yogis that on

this day . . . the Sahasrara was opened out. It was just a miracle I

should say because I didn't think that I am at a point where it

could be done. So I wanted to wait but some things happened that made

Me think that it had to be opened. It was in such a situation that I

felt if I delayed it anymore now it may help these false gurus to

spread their nonsense all over. "

" For all of us the seekers the last work of the Divine of opening

the last centre in the Great Primordial Being was done on the 5th of

May, 1970. It is the greatest event of all the spiritual happenings

of the Universe. It was done with great care and great attachment. It

is not in the limits of human understanding how things are worked in

the heavens. It is your fortune and God's Love that has worked

this one.

Without this happening there could not have been a possibility to

give mass Realization to people. One could have done it on one or two

persons here and there, but to give such a mass awakening could not

have been possible. "

" So it was a turmoil . . . and at this turmoil state only Adi

Shakti had to come to establish the Dharma . . .

When I was born I was shocked at the way people were. At that time I

don't think I met many seekers . . . First I thought I've

come a little early . . . but then I saw these horrible false gurus

also throwing their charms on people and trying to control them. That

made Me really, really think that now I'd better stop worrying as

to what sort of people there are — let's start! And that's

how the first Brahmarandhra Chedan took place in India. It was 5th

May, 1970 . . . in the morning time. "

with the help of these qualities the enlightened mind realises the

Ultimate Reality as an all-pervading consciousness.

" This Kundalini is the one which is called as the Kumbha; in Sanskrit

language means the Aquarius. We call it as Aquarius, as one of the

Signs, and is the same as Khumba in Sanskrit language.

So it is the Age of Aquarius, is the Age of the Kundalini. . . which

will nourish, which is the Mother within you, which will rise, will

give you the completeness of it. And which will connect you with your

Spirit which ultimately gives you the enlightenment by which you

become Collectively Conscious.

Shri Srikanthardha-saririni Devi

USA — September 16, 1983

Srikanthardha-saririni (392nd): Half the body of Sri-kantha, I.e.

Siva is Hers. The equal status of Siva and Shakti are indicated by

this name.

" Without breaking the Sahasrara we could not have achieved the

ascent en masse. . . . To keep Sahasrara open should be very easy if

the western brains could understand and be aware of your Mother.

When your Mother is the Deity of Sahasrara the only way to be able to

keep the Sahasrara open has to be complete surrendering. For that

many ask Me, " How do we do it'? " It's a very funny question.

It is irrelevant. If your Sahasrara has been opened by someone, and

luckily that is the Deity before you, it should be the easiest thing

to surrender.

But it is not . . . What is surrendering? . . . What do you have to

surrender? A drop has to dissolve in the Ocean to become the Ocean,

and a drop cannot be greater than the Ocean — can it be? So what

is the surrendering? Surrendering of our conditionings, of our ego,

and the artificial barriers we have built around us . . .

But one should know this is the greatest of greatest opportunity for

you, not for the Divine. If you are not available the Divine can find

its own way of fulfilling its Last Culmination of Expression. Even to

understand how immense the task is you need a surrendering heart..

The area of the Sahasrara is the realm of God. When the Brahmarandhra

opens fully then the heavens open within yourself. The Kundalini,

which has risen up and given you Realization, creates the opening by

which the Divine starts pouring all its subtleties inside your

brain . . .

All of us can achieve that state of Nirvikalpa. . . After Nirvikalpa

you cannot come down . . . . "

Shri Kantardha-vigraha Devi

Vienna, Austria — May 4, 1985

Kantardha-vigraha [861st]: Having a form half of which is a

`female' i.e., Ardha-narisvara: showing the dual concept of

Reality as the united aspect of Siva and Shakti.

" When the Kundalini enters the Agnya Chakra, She enlightens it.

Then Christ within you is enlightened or awakened. He sucks both

these balloons of ego and the super-ego and the whole Agnya Chakra

opens. There is simultaneous opening of the Sahasrara. I saw the

Sahasrara of the Virata open. It was like tongues of flames. Just

like when you dissect the human brain, its cross-section looks like

petals of flame. In the center of it, it looks like a yellow hole.

The opening of the Sahasrara is sudden. With a bang it opens. "

Sri Durlabha Devi

Durlabha (188th): Hard to attain

" I know all beyond the Vaikuntha but I have not revealed it so

far. It will be slowly revealed by Me because people have not been

prepared yet to become capable of absorbing it. "

Shri Sukhprada Devi

Shiva Puja, Bombay, India — February 26, 1987

Sukhaprada [192nd]: Confers happiness or bliss or Moksa which is

Nirvana-Sukha, the Bliss of Liberation.

" You have to take a stand in your family, in your surroundings, with

your friends, and you have to tell them, " You better all get

realized. " The reason for that is that the Christ who crucified

Himself is going to come back with his Eleven Forces of Destruction.

And when He starts He is not going to ask you to take any

Realization. No one is going to be bothered whether you are going to

hell. He will just sort out. But those who have got Realization will

enter into the Kingdom of God. You have to enter into the Kingdom of

God here, as I say, in the Seventh Chakra. "

Shri Madhumati Devi

The New Age Has Started, Houston, USA — Oct. 6, 1981

Madhumati (717th): Madhu stands for bliss. She is Brahmananda Herself

or She is of the form of Mantras in Veda beginning with Madhu. There

are seven states of consciousness called Jnana-Bhumikas, the highest

of them being called Madhumati. Only highest evolved souls called

Paramahamsas reach this stage which is beyond `Dhyana.' She

is that stage Herself.

" The seventh major chakra is Sahasrara, located on the top of the

head. The color is white. Through Sahasrara chakra, we receive

universal cosmic energy and energetic information from God or the

Divine Center.

Sahasrara represents the highest aspect of the Self as a cosmic

organism. It is linked to the Absolute body (the conclusion of the

development of all seven subtle bodies of a cosmic organism), and it

relates to the whole being. Sahasrara chakra is a center of psychic

energy. The crown chakra is the most purified and evolved energy

level in the bio-energy system, a balanced and perfected universal

wisdom.

The goal of a human is to improve one's own karma by living a

" good " life, and a healthy Sahasrara chakra regulates human

behavior and personal characteristics to live a life in accordance

with karmic law. Sahasrara chakra is a center of spirituality,

refinement, and magnificence. Through the crown chakra, human spirit

connects to Universal Spirit, and the spiritual being moves toward

Universal Consciousness—the individual self is fully dissolved

here. At the crown chakra level, the cosmic self opens to the Source,

unites with cosmic principles, and governs the entire universe within

the body. The crown chakra is associated with universal knowledge and

spiritual understanding. "

" Sahasrara (seventh) chakra. It is the controlling point for

Supreme Consciousness. Located at the crown of the head. There is

here a store of amrta which is described as nectar or spiritual wine.

When this flows downwards to the ajina chakra is may produce

anindyananda samadhi. This chakra is the microcosmic point of

fundamental positivity from which creation starts.

The mind at this chakra is in nirvikalpa samadhi. It is a level

completely beyond the verbal and even the normal visual thought. It

is actually beyond the mind and unit consciousness, although it is

their source. It is therefore beyond psychology, although it is the

key to its proper formulation.

This thousand petaled lotus is downturned, lustrous and whiter then

the full moon, tinged with the color of the young sun. Its body has

all the letters on it. Inside it is the full moon, its rays moist and

cool as nectar. Inside this is the Triangle, and inside that the

Great Void. This is the seat of Parama Shiva, the Brahman and Atman

of all beings. He who has controlled his mind and known the subtle

aspects of this chakra is not reborn. In this place one finds the

sixteenth phase of the moon, Ama-Kala, a downturned fine crescent

which is the source of nectar. Inside this is Nirvana-kala, even

finer, and inside this Supreme Nirvana Shakti. Finally inside her is

the abode of Shiva, where there is neither time nor space, free from

Maya, and called Nityananda. "
