I mean, I have vibrations almost all day, are there any powers so to speak that she has vested in me, which I am yet unaware off. I read through the sahaj vidya site, and something tells me it may have been edited, to ward off people seeking powers for the sake of being powerful. Could someone throw light on this? I must add, Jagbir, when i first joined this form, I had loads of questions. you were right when you said that they would sort themselves out on their own. Thank you. I was also part of the talk about sahaj yoga site, but i realised that there was hardly anyone speaking for sahaj yoga. Those against it, had closed their minds to the divine. I do hope they wil start believing that this earthly body is not all there is to life. I look forward to hearing your answer to the one question I have asked. I was on the phone today with my mother and she and I were talking about this issue (in a round about - 'how's life going' way) " showing off your powers " Yes, Alex, as a practicing yogi(ni) or even in the darker arts for that matter, when you practice anything whole heartedly, there are vibrations (and the origins of those vibrations) that get attached to you. You may not be aware of your powers but they are very aware of you. Just to name a few: Your power of influencing others - intentionally or unintentionally; The third eye awareness or Virat Angyna (sp?) when you can see things that are about to happen but think its just your imagination, or you think of someone and then you see or hear from them; The power to subtly put a bandan on something (physically or just in your mind) and watch it work out right before your eyes. The only thing about " showing it off " occurs when you say things like - " Watch this, I'm going to make this person give me this or that " , or " Watch out, you scorn me and I'll make you pay; something bad will happen to you. " 'with great power, comes great responsibility' - Spiderman's Uncle, Part One - Your vibrations are boons for your and other peoples' enjoyment and enrichment (not materialistically, that would be considered showing- off). Not to try to sound corny but you are empowered to make your part of the world a better place. I was recently humbled when I found out that Shri Mataji is not going to have Puja in Italy in August, but is in fact going to LA. I'm sitting here procrastinating, writing my letter, thinking I have all the time in the world because I am so close to her and look what happens. It is dangerous in SY to get too full of yourself, whether it be because of how long you have been in SY or how many people you've given realization to (you feel you deserve special recognition or a pat on the back), or because you stopped smoking or drinking, being promiscuous. I only speak from experience. And DANGEROUS for me usually consists of being put in my place. I'm not talking about getting into a car accident where someone gets killed but I am talking about a fender bender, or my car breaking down, Puja getting moved to another country, etc. I don't believe in coincidences. Everything - the good, the fabulous, the bad and the ugly all happen for a reason. It's hard to hear, but even the terrible - it just means you have to go that much deeper(higher). Last thought: It's like the rock on the mountain. The rock is just a rock, but from a distance, its part of an entire mountain. And with your growth and development of vibrational awareness, you eventually stop having the awareness of the rock, and you begin to have the awareness of the mountain. Go deeper and you can eventually move that mountain! Not only those who are Sahaja Yogis but this I am telling to the whole world today: BE CAREFUL. DO NOT TRY TO HARM OTHERS. DO NOT TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OTHERS AND DO NOT TRY TO SHOW OFF YOUR OWN POWER. " These were the early days when Shri Mataji was brutally honest about Her Advent and message to humanity. i think Her message is directed more towards the followers of false gurus, corrupted religions, and other powerful institutions than the few hundred SYs. It was a warning to humanity to be careful as the Last Judgment had commenced, and would end with the Second Coming of the Kalki Avataar. This was a reminder to refrain from exploiting fellow humans, a warning that fell on deaf ears. (It is possible there may have been SYs claiming some sort of divinity, or inclination to boss over and lead others. There have been a number of such cases and we still continue to have such characters around.) Her warning has nothing to do with the powers SYs have been endowed - vibrations, ability to raise Kundalini, give Self-realization, check chakras. No SY can boast about such powers. They are no big deal since even a child can do the same. BTW, you ARE supposed to feel vibrations if your Mother Kundalini is taking care of you and guiding you away from negativity. You, Alex, are definitely connected with the Divine. So in no way are you showing off. On the contrary, such statements help to establish faith in new seekers and inspire established SYs like me to plod on against the odds. i have no idea of the Sahaj Vidya site being edited to ward off people seeking powers for the sake of being powerful. There is absolutely no chance of anyone taking advantage of the Shakti - utterly no way! But if you are sincere in heart and humbly seek these powers for Self-realization and moksa, and not to show off, Shri Bindu-Mandala-vasini Devi* is more than ready to help you: " Up till now many saints, sages have known and revealed about this Shakti. Whatever they could not describe in prose, they tried to convey through poetry. Whatever description was not possible to put in words they composed different names of the Devi and described. We all know this and many people also know the meaning of this. But one thing they perhaps do not know is that every human being has all these Shaktis, powers dormant in them, and they can awaken them. These dormant powers are eternal and limitless. " SYs have just begun to scratch the surface and i doubt they truly understand what Shri Mataji is really talking about. All i can say is " Tat Twam Asi " . How long will it take to awaken the dormant, eternal and limitless powers of the Shakti within to realize this Highest Truth? Jai Shri Mataji, jagbir *Bindu-Mandala-vasini [380th]: Resides in Bindu-mandala, which is the innermost point in Sri Chakra representing Anandamaya; in the body it is chandra-mandala which is below Brahma-randhra in the skull.
