This is indeed a post that reminds me of my past collective

experience. The prevailing fear and paranoia that ignorant followers

of false gurus are devilish must cease as it reflects badly on

Sahaja Yoga. The sad reality is that even some mature, adult SYs are

of similar views which are passed on to the Yuvashakti. i used to be

sad and ashamed to hear all this coming from so-called self-realized

souls during collective meetings. What have these misled seekers

done to earn our disgust and distrust? How can one ever grow in such

a harsh and holier-than-thou environment? Where is the love and

empathy for fellow humans?

 

In my opinion only those gurus like Chinmoy and Sai Baba should be

regarded as satanic since they sexually and emotionally abuse their

devotees. Only demonic people can convince their flock that, since

they are God Almighty in person, having sex with them will purify

their souls. How many can refuse such a personal favor from what

they regard and honestly believe to be an obviously benevolent god?

 

But these naive devotees were innocent and genuine spiritual

seekers. They all wanted to be better human beings but fell victim

to really evil gurus. Moreover, prior to the internet, they had no

way of finding out and continued to desperately seek enlightenment

despite being booted out of the collective. Take for example this

recent post from an ex-Chinmoy follower:

out years ago and had no idea that the guru was a total fraud. This

meant, as Dogmother described, they lived with guilt and spiritual

uncertainty for years - even half a lifetime, often without the

confidence to do more than hang around the SCC whenever there was a

Thanks to you and your small group of courageous friends, anyone who

is kicked out now can certainly ease themselves out of the bonds that

bind them to the Reannaisance Man. "

 

 

Those SYs unable to accept these misled devotees of Chinmoy's as

brothers and sisters have learnt little. The same goes for regarding

the Hare Krishna organization, Ching Hai, or Reiki groups as

devilish. It is so easy to judge all non-SYs and their gurus as

evil.

 

i also was devilish for decades and am grateful for all those

enriching experiences. That is why i can sympathize with them. Those

unfortunate not to experience life's misfortunes are sometimes

cursed to curse the devilishly lucky.
