A bit more perspective needed?

(An interesting post by a SY at another forum)

My parents are devoted Christians (not Sahaja Yogis) but in the

recent years have walked away from the Church because they cannot

accept many of its practices.

Many Catholic priests have been jailed for child pornography, the

churches need vast amounts of money to maintain their churches and

then sell them to be turned into luxurious flats (Manchester) –

did they give the profits back to the church goers?

If you feel that the religions are infallible and beyond question

then it is clear to see that your view is somewhat out of touch with

the reality of the state they are in.

If you feel it is unfair for someone to claim that it is possible to

hold true the original messages and teachings that were supposed to

be delivered through a religion without following an institution

that has been set up to follow it, then it is clear that you are out

of touch with what the general public want today.

People are losing trust in the religions but not the truth behind

them – that suggests there is a difference in what they are

supposed to do and what they do. That is what Sahaja yoga suggests

that each person can understand within themselves the teachings of

the religions but not have to deny the others and follow just one.

Sahaja Yoga has stated that it embraces and embodies the truth

behind the religions. It is common sense that it is in no way is

going to accept the mistakes and wrongdoings of the leaders that run

them.

It is surely a matter of course that institutions that are not

following the path of their founders will be exposed and that the

followers will begin to see the failure of the leaders to ensure the

right decisions are made.
