Hope you do not mind. > > jagbir i have just answered to an ex-SY, Satya (see email right below), that is relevant to what i have been trying to say at the thread above regarding the Asian tsunami. And from recent private emails received from those who have left it is clear that they have little idea what Sahaja Yoga is actually all about: " Can't sleep, so just to finish off about the friend from SY - this is the person I have recently visited who was in Sajah Yoga for years. I don't know if it is up to me to say whether he ever knew what Sahaj Yoga was about or not. I don't know if I knew either! .... I have just looked at a link on the " adishakti.org " site which talks about the May 5th 2000 planetary line up which seemed so important to me at the time (re my previous email). Yet no one has ever really discussed this with me, so I only have my own ideas to go on - I'll have a good read of that link later. It would have been nice if when I was in Sahaj Yoga and told the leader of my local group that I had had some kind of " insight " about the grand cross alignment he or someone could have talked to me about it and explained why it was important. Perhaps he did not know himself. Yet the leader was a nice and sincere person and I would very much doubt that he has left the movement. .... With me I think for all my personal faults I do have a very deep understanding of spiritual matters and I find it hard to find anyone who can really discuss things with me on a deep level. This may sound like I am full of my own self importance, which I may well be, but I hope you can see what I am saying here. It is like Einstein trying to talk to a child about his theory of relativity! He might love the child and like talking to him/her, but the child just has no idea of what he is talking about and can only see things in their own limited understanding. This was I think like me whilst I was in Sahaj Yoga. I don't think that the leader of the group or the friend I have just visited had really any idea what I was talking about. I don't think anyone I spoke to had really, so they just thought I was talking nonsense or just ignored what I was saying. Instead they were saying that what I was experiencing was not Sajah Yoga, whilst as you say, talking about lemons and chillies, whatever! So I got frustrated and left. There are many things that other people can teach me which I need to learn, but I also think there are things that I can teach other people, but I don't seem to be able to find anyone to " hear " me! " (end of quote) i am posting all the faults and shortcomings of SYs, including how the behavior of a few reflects on many. Seekers have no means of getting answers to their queries, even regarded as negative should they persist. Continuously telling them to use lemons, chillies and coconuts to clear chakras (problems!?) only exacerbates the frustration and expedites their departure. The same scenario is repeated all over the world. Until and unless this organization becomes more transparent and forthright about its core message, and give evidence and answers as to its claims we will continue losing 99% of all new seekers. Giving them self-realization is one thing. Explaining truthfully and making them thoroughly understand why self-realization is necessary for taking part in the Great Event is another thing altogether. Let's stop blaming them for leaving in ignorance and start admitting that our lack of faith and abundance of fear in the public accepting the Divine Message is the root of all failures. The initial few weeks/months are so critical in establishing new seekers in participating in the Great Event ordained for humanity. Failure to do so will result in almost all leaving, whether immediately or after some time. Satya is just another disillusioned seeker who will never return again. Had we SYs been honest and forthright right from the beginning it may have perhaps established her faith. Do SYs think it is about time to tell the truth about the Divine Message? Or is it true that most SYs can only explain Sahaja Yoga in a subtle system mindset? jagbir - Hi Satya, Have you ever considered that getting another job actually saved you? Do not belittle the Shakti within you who does all the saving, even defying death, as and when necessary. http://www.adishakti.org/witnessing_her_miracles.htm So do not think that leaving Sahaja Yoga probably saved your life. You have no idea how the Adi Shakti works from within and neither do most SYs. Their attention has always been external, including yours. jagbir ------------ Dear all I was in Sahaja yoga till the begining of this year. I was working in a town which is on the sea shore in INDIA. That job is not good for my career, with respect work as well as salary. I used to have lot of free time. As a sahaj yogi, I felt that may be shri mataji, wants me to do sahaj work, that's why I am free. We stayed in a house which is near to the sea, and everyday morning and evening, we spend some time near the sea (for footsoaking, shoe booting and some times taking bath in the sea etc.) Last year doubts on sahaja yoga started pouring in my mind. Day after the day, the doubts are increasing. I am in favor of sahaja yoga, I wanted to see these doubts as doubts only, but not as real ones. Fortunately/Unfortunately that doesn't happened, 70% I came to conclusion that sahaja yoga might be wrong. Then I decided to concentrate on my career, so I left that job which is not good for my career and because of my current job, I went to a different town which is not on the sea shore of INDIA. After 6/7 months my conclusion came to 99% that sahaja yoga is a false organization. This week's incident made me to feel shock, because the place we stayed previously was severly affected by tsunami. If I was in sahaja yoga, surely we would have been doing foot soaking/shoe booting on the sea shore at the time of tsunami (Tsunami time is morning 8:30AM on Indian Standard Time). Imagining that itself is very difficult. Satya
