Guest guest
Hi all, I do not know what the correct term for the red dot that many have on their forheads, including shri mataji, but i had a few questions about it. By the way, what is the proper term for it? I remeber reading awhile ago on a SY's webpage(who's identity i forgot) that it is to protect from negativity etc. I wanted to know first off what is the point of having that dot there? What purpose does it serve or more then one purpose, if that is indeed the case? Also, is it universial, meaning can both men and woman where them? What do you need in order to make them, meaning ingredients? Lastly, what do you do with them when you sleep? Wear them then too If i could get some answers to these questions i would be greatful Thanks Kyyan
Guest guest
The red dot on the forehead of Shri Mataji and on the sahaj yogis is called as"Bindi" in Hindi language it can also be called as "kUMKUM'.IT IS true that it is to protect the agnya chakra because it is a powder of ferrous oxide and it is very much related to the mooladhara . It is in one of the lectures of Shri Mataji i don't remember which year. Also it is a sign of a married woman in India and as Mother has said that when u have this dot it means that the woman wearing this dot has a husband behind her and so she is protected from unnecessary glances. Yes, in sahaja yoga men and women can both wear the bindi during the time of pujas and I once i had a chance of being in the physical company of the Divine andShe remarked on one of the present Indian girls to put a bindi on the forehead. As far as I know there is no harm keeping it overnight unless u don't wont to spoil the pillow covers. But it is a good idea to put it on the back agnya everyday. Try it. You don't need to prepare it yourself , but just go to any Indian shop and u will get it ask any sahaj yogis they will guide u.
