I am confused. IS the soul the personality and/or the ego, and is

the soul seperate from the pirit, or the REAL you, of the ame thing?

I read a radio interview (transcript) that occured in 1992 on a hong

kong radio station where Shri Mtaji briefly touchedn this as well:

Interviewer: Is it like finding what one can, or what people have

loosely described as the Soul inside one ?

Shri Mataji: Yes, but they're quite confused people. They don't know

what is Soul, what is Spirit. But these are all precise things. Soul

is the thing which is not only Spirit but is the body, the

personality. Except for the element of earth in it. We are made of

five elements out of which the element of earth drops out; then you

become the Soul, because you cannot be seen but you exist in another

plane.

SO whatis the difference between the soul and the spirit or the real

you?

Dear Kyyan,

I want to talk about the " spirit. " However, right now I think you

are getting very involved in your " conditionings " of what you have

been brought up with.

The best way to start to overcome these " conditionings " Kyyan is to

get your " spiritual awakening " . I was never really successful at

working on my past " conditionings " until i had my self-realization.

A person gets so much help when they get their " connection " you see.

You won't understand what your " spirit " is until you get your self-

realization " and start to meditate; " go within " because it is the

subtlest part of yourself.

In order to do this you need to go beyond the never-ending circle of

intellectualizing in order to " experience " your spirit, do you

realize that?

In other words, you need to go from the Agnya Chakra, where

your " thoughts " come from, to the Sahasrara Chakra, where you

get " thoughtless awareness " or " awareness " without " thoughts " . This

awareness is the experience of your Spirit, you see!

The way i could explain it is to say that your " spirit " is sort

of " asleep " in your heart until you get your self-realization at

which point it then " awakens " and becomes " dynamic " . That's why this

is called " spiritual awakening " . Asleep; then awake!

Now, when you get your " connection " , you will have the ability to

first of all " see " what these " conditionings " are and then to " de-

condition " them over time. You will become a much happier person and

will start becoming the " personality " you really want to be; loving,

peaceful, happy, joyous, satisfied, etc. This process takes time and

it happens step by step but as we take each step we get closer to

what we really are; the real Self which is the Spirit; not the old

self with all the " baggage " hanging on to us and " dragging " us down.

Then as you " meditate " and " pray " and " talk " to Shri Mataji, just

like a Mother, She will help you; you can talk to her about

anything. She will reveal the " pure knowledge " of your Spirit to

you. It is knowledge you cannot get from books and it is " deep,

inner " knowledge.
