The anonymous devoted realized soul who has been working on getting the forum off the ground has done so as promised and it will be our present to Shri Mataji on Her birthday today.I use the word our present because it is a shell of a present if we do not fill it with discussions of Her Divine Knowledge in the many categories of the forum.In a year, anyone of you will be able present it to Her physically if you so wish for Her appreciation on Her next birthday. There will be teething problems right from registering to posting on the new forum in the first few weeks.Please bear with us(the moderators) during this period since we are at various levels of competency in computer language, running a forum and in moderating. At the present juncture all the moderators will be helping each other collectively until we have overcome any teething problems that may arise and also in the next few weeks all of us will have an idea of what moderating is all about. My question is what will become of this forum, the old forum i am currently posting on? is this forum going to be replaced by the new forum in term of all links to it on the adishakti.org homepage etc, or is it going to be a seperate forum and this old forum kept up an running? If it is to replace the old forum, when will the change over take place and what will become of all the achrived messages that currently exist on this old forum? You would still be able to view the posts at the new forum without registering as a member which means that this is an open forum where all and sundry can view the posts.Thus you can see the responsibility of each of us when we post that we project the right and true nature of Shree Mataji's teachings and message. About teething problems encountered and suggestions , please post on the " Improving the Forum and Site " section under technical discussion. Guest guest Posted March 20, 2005 Report Share Posted March 20, 2005 Hi Kyyan, You have to ask Jagbir about this forum because he is the moderator of this forum.Jagbir is no more a moderator on the new forum and it is collectively being run by a group of moderators.I just happen to be posting on behalf of them being one of the moderators of the new forum.Thus any query which does not fit as a technical question can be posted as a questions to " The Moderators " but still under the section " Improving the Forum and the Site " . You have to ask Jagbir whether he will continue with this forum and what will become of the archived messages in this forum.I agree with you that having two forums is confusing and it would be ideal if we could focus on the new forum and make it a success from which all humanity can benefit. As you have said that the new forum looks awesome(Thank you Ana for the suggestion/work to initiate the whole project as well as to the anonymous soul who built it).People in general do not like change(myself included) even if they feel/know it may be for the better. Just to give you a very small example: I was reluctant to trade my 2mb hotmail for a 6mb many years ago but I did finally after much delay and then I was also reluctant(though less so this time) to change my 250mb account for a 1000mb gmail account recently but did so without much delay this time.Each timee it was change from something I was comfortable to something new but both times it was for the better and both times I am glad I made the reluctant changes.It is just a small example about change called " stepping out of the comfort zone " which most humans refuse to make.This is very small change but in life there are much more profound life affecting changes we will have to make. Apparently new members are unable to log in and post. These teething problems are there since the forum has had quite a radical facelift. So we have to give ourselves some time for the new forum to function reliably. Till then this forum will continue to exist. After that i will make a decision. But rest assured that the new forum is way better than anything we have had here so far, and that it has much more to offer.
