Guest guest
Dear Adam, The arranging of marriage to someone... is a spiritually preferred choice of finding a marriage partner by many yogis or yoginis. It is an opportunity that Shri Mataji has put in place. Not all yogis or yoginis choose this method of finding a marriage partner. It is a very individual choice. It is not an easy choice because in addition to the normal adjustments in any marriage, there are the extra adjustments that can come from marrying someone of a completely different background to what a person has grown up with. However, it is also a choice of great adventure, expansion of one's ideas, outlook and horizon and a realization that beneath every human being beats the same heart with the same desires and wishes for love and unity, compassion and understanding. Shri Mataji has said that the mode of having a marriage partner arranged, does result in the greatest of opportunities for spiritual growth and advancement to the yogis/yoginis involved. How could that be so? Let me explain. If two people are married to each other from a different religious background, culture, race or language, they are going to go through a huge learning curve in which they are going to have to give up any previous conditionings in relation to their partner's race and cultural background. However, because they have the common spiritual foundation of Sahaja Yoga where people from all religious backgrounds, all cultures and all races are accepted, this couple have a good spiritual basis of unity and acceptance to make the marriage a success. Shri Mataji has said that this wish of yogis and yoginis for arranged marriages will be the beginning of a new race of people. Why will this be the start of a new race of people? Because they all have their self-realization and accept the teachings of all the incarnations and prophets, for example Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Guru Nanak, everyone... they accept the best of all cultures; they accept all races. Even all the blood lines of every country are uniting in this way. This is not only happening in SY but there is much more inter-racial marriage in the world today than 50 years ago. Therefore in Sahaja Yoga there is coming a completely new race of people, because unlike the past where races have kept to themselves, in Sahaja Yoga they are all uniting. This is one aspect of the immense change that Shri Mataji has initiated which is going to bring such a flowering of inter-racial harmony which we have never seen before in the world and it will eventually rise in influence from harmony within families to harmony within countries and harmony between countries. Commitment to such a marriage takes the faith, love, compassion and tolerance of the two persons involved in their choice to tread this path of matrimony. Adam, if you do not want to have an arranged marriage, that is alright. No one forces you to do so and your chakras will not become imbalanced because you choose not to have an arranged marriage. I imagine an arranged marriage would be even more difficult to enter into if you are from a background where this is discouraged by the society, however in a lot of societies today there is great acceptance of inter-racial marriage and i believe this trend will become even greater as time goes on. I hope this helps. Guest guest
Dear Violet Sorry for the delay in my response. Thank you for your views and being the only person who expressed something on the group. I understand what you have said about this new race of people and if this is the way humanity is headed because it is God's will then so be it and nothing can ultimately alter this progression. I was just wondering how this fitted in with chakras because I feel a desire to marry within my own ethnic group at the same time as recognizing Sri Mataji's purpose so I thought there might be a clash with what is regarded as chakra/behavior qualities etc in SY. Thanks Adam , " violet_tubb " <vtubb@b...> wrote: > Dear Adam, > > The arranging of marriage to someone... is a spiritually preferred > choice of finding a marriage partner by many yogis or yoginis.
