Dear Sanjeev,

i was not sure what you meant when you said that you are Dnyaneshwar Phase, so i

looked it up on the website to see what i would come up with. This is what i

found.

http://www.hinduweb.org/home/dharma_and_philosophy/vshirvaikar/

From this i am guessing that you must be a spiritual seeker who very possibly

has read the Gita.

Shri Mataji says that all the original prophets and Incarnations agree in their

spiritual teachings with each other. Chuck, who comes from a Christian

background is finding a lot of spiritual treasure in the words of the Bhagavad

Gita also and sharing this on the forum with us, which we really enjoy.

i believe it is very important to read and contemplate on the Scriptures of all

the spiritual and religious traditions because these help to shed 'light onto

our path'.

Of course, meditation is most important too, which is the way that we can have

access to the knowledge of the Spirit Within.

You are very welcome to share any spiritual insights or understanding with us or

your story of how you became a spiritual seeker. We are interested in everyone's

stories.

It is by sharing and telling our stories that our spiritual lives can be

enriched. We are all on the same spiritual path and it does not make a person

more superior spiritually by being further along on that path. All treading the

same path, will eventually reach their spiritual destination.

Warm regards,

Violet

Dear All,

It just occurred to me that 'dnyaneshwar phase' might be related to 'dnyan' and

is that not the stage of meditation where a person contemplates on an outer

object as a means to get to the inner meaning of meditation? i think Shri Mataji

mentioned the word 'dnyan' a number of times.

'Dnyaneshwar' is another way of transcribing the name of the 13th

century Maratha saint known as Jnaneshwara or Gyaneshwara.

You can read his great commentary on the Gita which includes in

chapter six a description of the ascending Kundalini:

http://www.bvbpune.org/chap06.html

It is also common practice amongst families in Maharashtra to name

their children after saints. And Phase is a Maratha family name.

The Marathi word variously trancribed as 'dnyana' or 'jnana' means

knowledge of a spiritual nature.

Thank you John for that information. It is very interesting. It is a lovely

tradition to be given a spiritual name and now i realize that Dnyaneshwar Phase

must be your spiritual name, Sanjeev.
