Dear All,

 

This is an Adi Shakti Puja Report faxed to the Australian Collective on 11 June,

1993, wherein Shri Mataji is quoted as saying:

 

" Adi Shakti is the Pure Love of God. This is the first time we worship Mother

Herself, the Adi Shakti " .

 

The Hindu " Adi Shakti " is also the Ruh of Allah or Ma Adi of

(Muslims), the Maitreya of (Buddhists), the Eykaa Mayee of (Sikhs), the Great

Mother of (Taoism), the Shekinah or Ruach of (Judaism) and the Holy

Spirit/Comforter of (Christians).

 

Btw, i also note with great interest, that Shri Mataji considers IGNORANCE to be

the " GREATEST NEGATIVITY " .

Adi Shakti Puja Report - 11 June, 1993

(based on Words of Shri Mataji).....

 

Adi Shakti is the Pure Love of God. This is the first time we worship the Mother

Herself, the Adi Shakti.

 

The snake in the Garden of Eden was the Kundalini inviting Eva to taste the

fruit of Knowledge. This is very hard to perceive for people that only have had

a glimpse of Christ and Muhammad.

 

Adi Shakti's Power of Pure Love: She expresses this through the Mother Earth,

through stars and galaxies. Any person without love and compassion cannot have

any Divine Power. All creation and beauty is because of Divine Love, which is

Adi Shakti, the Kundalini.

 

When I express my Divine Love, it is like ripples on the water coming back to my

heart. This is so beautiful that it brings tears to my eyes. The Father

expresses all His Love through Adi Shakti and remains empty.... The Witness.

 

" Benevolence " is the first thing that is achieved through this Divine Love.

Benevolence is all that is good for the Spirit. So you just become the Giver.

 

First people were fighting for Freedom. Some used this to get power and occupy

countries. Then a subtle change came from seeking for this freedom, which still

was not the Truth. So much nonsense came from this Freedom of Choice: slavery,

caste system, racialism, etc.

 

Adi Shakti had to come to work this out. Family life was the first important

thing. The child has to receive the full Love for the benevolence of the child

from the parents. No indulgence or spoiling, but constant attention for his

benevolence.

 

Children fight and don't like anything because there is no Love in their hearts.

When I was born, I met hardly any Seekers. Everybody hated the Divine and were

only interested in gross things like insurance, etc. I thought I was born too

early but then I noticed

False Gurus and I knew I had to hurry up.

 

Then when the event of 5th of May came, I thought I would never make them

believe they could get their Self-Realization. People thought it was just

another lecture like (Bhagavad) Gita etc. Then I saw that the powers of Adi

Shakti were much more powerful than the problems of those days. It could awaken

the Kundalini `En-Masse'. But, I was so surprised that people came back and

wanted to work it out. So this power did not go into but over their heads, and

this experience of Truth.....`magic'..... really surprised people.

 

During all of Pujas and Public Programmes, I raise my Kundalini and put you in

My Body. So I know everything about you, when you want to start an Ashram or

etc. The relationship between you and me is so intimate but if you do not

meditate, that relationship is not there. I have nothing to do with you. There

is no connection. You maybe high in Sahaja Yoga.....get a degree from your

leader.....but you are nothing to me. I see clearly when you are not meditating.

 

In meditation you grow; nothing else matters if you are mature in Sahaja Yoga.

You will not want to give up meditation. Then I take responsibility for you.

We started the puja with 5 minutes meditation, while Mother blew in the Mike

(Shri Mataji often blew Her Divine Breath of the Holy Spirit through a

microphone and it could be felt as a Cool Breeze of the Holy Spirit throughout a

Hall or Lecture Room. The air would get perceptibly cooler in the room).

 

Then (Mother) concluded by saying, " 11 Rudras are awake and destroying ALL

Negativity. Ignorance is the biggest negativity!

Dear All,

 

The Adi Shakti or Holy Spirit is the Pure Love of God and also the Highest

Divine Mother of the Universe who resides in every being.

 

It says in the Devi Bhagavatam about the Highest Divine Mother that........

" Thus, arguing again and again in one's mind, everyone should come to know that

the Highest Âdya S'aktî by Her mere will creates and preserves this Universe and

She it is who destroys again in time the whole Brahmânda, moving and non-moving;

no one is capable to do his respective work be he Brahmâ, Visnu, Mahes'var,

Indra, Fire, Sun, Varuna or any other person whatsoever; verily all the Devas

perform the respective actions by the use of this Âdya S'aktî. That She alone is

present in cause and effect and is doing every action, and is witnessed

vividly. " (ref. below)

 

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi on Earth, who also states that She does nothing.... is

in fact.... an Incarnation of the Highest Divine Mother of the Universe. She is

an Incarnation of the 'promised Comforter that Jesus said would come on Earth,

when He said....

 

" And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he

may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot

receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he

dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. " (John 14:16-17)

 

We know that Shri Mataji is an Incarnation of the Comforter that Jesus promised

would come. We can know Her in Her Incarnated Form before us ('Saguna' Form) and

we can know Her more intimately, in the Nirguna'(formless) as the Adi Shakti

(Holy Spirit) within us. This is what the Devi Bhagavatam says about the " Shakti

twofold " ....

 

" The intelligent ones call that S'aktî twofold; one is Sagunâ and the other is

Nirgunâ. The people, attached to the senses and the objects, worship the Sagunâ

aspect, and those who are not so attached worship the Nirguna aspect. " (ref.

below)

 

Shri Mataji has also given us the Mantra.... " I do nothing, verily You are the

Doer and You are the Enjoyer " . The " You " that is being referred to here as the

" Doer " and the " Enjoyer " is the Holy Spirit within us, which does all the Living

Work.

 

The Holy Spirit within is the Primordial Power that is awakened when we receive

our Second Birth and become our Spirit (also known as Self-Realization,

Connection with the Divine, Kundalini Awakening, Collective Consciousness,

however you prefer to call it.)

 

Below is text from the Devi Bhagavatam which gives further understanding as to

what wise persons have said and what is also stated in the Puranas regarding the

Creative Force.

" The wise persons say, and it is also stated in the Purânas, that the Prime

Force is present in Brahmâ as the Creative Force; is present in Hari as the

Preservative Force; is present in Hara as the Destructive Force; is present in

Kurma (tortoise) and in Ananta (the thousand headed Snake) as the earth

supporting Force; is present in fire as the Burning Force, is present in air as

the moving Force, and so is present everywhere in various manifestations of

forces. 31-51.

 

In this whole Universe, whoever he may be, all are incapable of any action if he

be deprived of his force; what more than this, if S'iva be deprived of Kula

Kundalinî S'aktî, He becomes a lifeless corpse; O great ascetic Risis! She is

present everywhere thus in every thing in this universe from the highest Brahmâ

to the lowermost blade of grass, all moving and non-moving things. Verily

everything becomes quite inert, if deprived of force; whether in conquering

one's enemies, or in going from one place to another or in eating -- one finds

oneself quite incapable, if deprived of force.

 

Thus the omnipresent S'aktî, the wise call by the name of Brahmâ. Those who are

verily intelligent should always worship Her in various ways and determine

thoroughly the reality of Her by every means. In Visnu there is the Sattviki

S'aktî; then He can preserve; otherwise He is quite useless; so in Brahmâ there

is Rajasi S'aktî and He creates; otherwise He is quite useless; in S'iva, there

is Tamasi S'aktî and He destroys; else He is quite useless. Thus, arguing again

and again in one's mind, everyone should come to know that the Highest Âdya

S'aktî by Her mere will creates and preserves this Universe and She it is who

destroys again in time the whole Brahmânda, moving and non-moving; no one is

capable to do his respective work be he Brahmâ, Visnu, Mahes'var, Indra, Fire,

Sun, Varuna or any other person whatsoever; verily all the Devas perform the

respective actions by the use of this Adya S'aktî.

 

That She alone is present in cause and effect and is doing every action, and be

witnessed vividly. The intelligent ones call that S'aktî twofold; one is Sagunâ

and the other is Nirgunâ. The people, attached to the senses and the objects,

aspect. That conscious S'aktî is the Lady of the fourfold aims of life,

religion, wealth, desires, and liberation. When She is worshipped according to

due rules, She awards all sorts of desires. The worldly persons, charmed by the

Mâyâ of this world, do not know Her at all; some persons know a little and charm

others; whereas some stupid and dull-headed pundits, impelled by Kali, start

sects of heretics, Pâsandas for the sustenance of their own bellies.

 

O highly fortunate Munis! In no other Yugas were found acts as prevalent (as) in

this Kali Yuga, based on various different opinions and altogether beyond the

pale of the Vedic injunctions. Behold again, if Brahmâ, Visnu and Mahes'a be the

supreme Deities, then why do these three Devas meditate on another One beyond

speech, beyond mind and practise, for years, hard austerities; and why do they

perform Yajñas (sacrifices) for their success in creation, preservation, and

destruction?

 

They know, verily, the Highest Supreme Being, Brahmâni Devî S'aktî eternal,

constant and therefore they meditate Her always in their minds. Therefore the

wise man, knowing this firmly, should serve in every way the Highest S'aktî.

 

O Munis! This is the settled conclusion of all the Sâstras. I have heard of this

great hidden secret from Bhagavân Krisna Dvaipâyan. He heard it from Nârada, and

Nârada heard it from his own father Brahmâ. Brahmâ heard this from Visnu.

 

O Munis it is well that the wise even should not hear or think anything to the

contrary from other sources; they should with their concentrated heart serve the

Brahmâ Sanâtanî S'aktî. It is clearly witnessed in this world that if there be

any substance wherein this conscious S'aktî does not exist, that becomes inert,

quite useless for any purpose.

 

So know this fully that it is the Highest Divine Mother of the Universe that is

playing here, residing in every being. Thus ends the eighth chapter of the first

Skandha on deciding who is to be worshipped in the Mahapurâna Sri Mad Devî

Bhâgavatam of 18,000 verses by Maharsi Vedavyâsa. "
